Notes to commentators on the Paul Finebaum Show concerning Mizzou

To Barrett Sallee: I understand how someone could have picked Tennessee to upset Mizzou. Tennessee is playing much better and could have definitely upset Mizzou. But to pick them big, by two touchdowns? What are you stupid? Mizzou is the reigning SEC East Champ, had won four in a row, and nine road games in a row. Maybe a little more respect was in order. By the way let's also get another thing straight Barrett, Mizzou was the better team. If they would have stayed away from penalties and their special teams would have at least played decent, that game easily could have been a blow-out for Mizzou.
To Greg McElroy: If you are going to analyze Mizzou losses, at least look at the game tape before you open your mouth. You said Mizzou lost to Georgia because its offense, defense, and special teams played poorly. That is not true. Mizzou's defense played fairly well, however when the offense turns the ball over 5 times and goes 3 and out seemingly every series, and Georgia keeps getting the ball in Mizzou territory or close to it, bad things will happen eventually. That game was like a scrimmage between Mizzou's defense and Georgia's offense. I am not taking anything away from Georgia, they stomped Mizzou and were the better team, but it was not because the defense played poorly. It just got worn out because of the offense's ineffectiveness.
To Paul Finebaum: Please quit smirking and saying Mizzou will finally earn respect only by winning out. Mizzou is 13-2 in the SEC over the last 2 years, 3-0 against the West, and has won 10 straight road games including 8 in the SEC. Four of those road games were against ranked teams. Mizzou may not be as good of program as the big boys in the SEC, but their accomplishments have been more than enough to earn respect. Yes the SEC East has been down, but in the last two years Mizzou has won at South Carolina, at Georgia, at Tennessee, at Florida, at Mississippi, and at Texas A&M. Down or not, all of those places have rabid fan bases, tradition, and all have recruiting classes in the top 20.
Note to FPI system: Indicating Mizzou only had a 2% chance of winning its last two games is just dumb. They still may not do it, but their prior accomplishments indicate they had a much better chance than that.

Bringing the heat with logic and common sense, I like you. Much prefer threads like this as opposed to the childish troll threads.

3-0 against the West so far last two years. Your 3-1 may be a prediction but it is not a fact.

Not sure what I am leaving out. Those stats are accurate through this past weekend. I didn't include the SECCG because it is not a road game but a neutral site game. The stats I am quoting are regular season.

Missouri's D is great, I knew their DL would wreak havoc and they did. Thought our WR's would get more separation and actually catch the ball though.
Your O didn't really do that much considering we had 3 major pieces missing but once you wore us down you hit the big plays at key times like you've done all year. The clutch gene is real.
Congrats Missouri you've beat us three years in a row! Hopefully we can end that streak next year when we are finally back.

Mizzou's offense put up 410 yards of offense on UT, we had that ridiculous offensive PI call that took away yards. If our offense would stop with the false starts we would be just fine on offense.
