...how hard you would laugh if Texas comes in to the SEC and wins the conference on its first try after A&M failed to even make the SECCG in their decade+ head start?

No one is laughing. Texas will be a pain in the arse every season from now on, and because of 2 fluke miracles they get to start their entrance into the SEC by beating an SEC team for their first natty in 20 years. 2 fluke miracles against a team that got owned by New Mexico State so now we get to see a repeat instead of at least seeing what UGA could do, since we already freaking know what Bama isn’t capable of.
You guys are going to hate Texas way more than LSU ever hated you from 2012-2019 and that’s saying a lot. We’re all going to be begging for the days when the only Texas school we cared about struggled between 7-5 and 8-4

Texas won the Big 12 only 4 times in 28 years despite having the most money and resources in the conference by a long shot. And here you are acting like they are going to come in and take over the SEC. Ridiculous.

I don't know anyone associated with Texas (including some less than intelligent message board posters) who think we're going to come in and own the SEC right away. However we do expect to be near the top every season, and in spite of trending upwards this year, jury is still out on Sark being the long term guy.
Unlike the Agricultural and Maintenance college to our east, we don't anoint new coaches as saviors and emperor-god of our program until it's proven over time. I like Sark and think he has what it takes, but one good season isn't enough to make him a lifer in Austin.

Kind of a moot point when Sark leaves Austin for Tuscaloosa when Nick does retire. We've already has lsu heads explode... this'll be a twofer.

Very true. Aggie isn’t like Texas in that sense. Go read their message boards. They think the league should be running for cover because Coach Elmo is the new sheriff in town. I have to give it to them though. They’re a resilient bunch. Didn’t take them long to shake off the Jimbo disaster mentally. Time to give the QB a snappy nickname yet?

I remember when A&M and Bama petted on each other. Tickled each other and giggled, even.

Exactly. He’s built an elite SEC roster and it’s refreshing to see guys develop for the first time in a decade plus. The next step is whether he continues to hire the right coaches as his staff gets promotion offers at other schools.

This is pretty spot on, maybe not for the reasons you think. But, here’s the honest truth, as much as Bama annoys me, I would rather Bama fans keep winning every season, even if there’s a legitimate title seasoned in there. Texas fans are infinitely more annoying whereas Bama fans, it’s kind of like, who can get mad at a dude with Down Syndrome winning a raffle for a MJ jersey or something?
