Who knows, let the games be played. Bama won't be caught sleeping this year, and no one is going to overlook Manziel and A&M. You don't think other teams/players see JFF's little sideshow in the media every week? He's giving himself a huge target on his back, if he rises to that challenge good for him. Just know it won't be easy.

They just don't have enough talent to replace 7 starters on defense they lost.

Please, enlighten me, which SEVEN starters did we lose on defense?

Last time I checked, we return:

Julien Obioha - Starting DE
Kirby Ennis - Starting NT
Steven Jenkins - Starting WLB
Deshazor Everett - Starting CB
Devante Harris - Starting CB
Howard Matthews - Starting SS

This Big 12 style/gimic offense surprised a lot of the SEC teams last year. This year the SEC defenses will be ready.

Didn't surprise UF in Game 1

Seems like by week 7 and 2 losses everybody would've had enough time and tape to figure us out

Nope. 7 straight wins. 5 on the road. 6 blowouts.

don't make me say it

a "psycho" with an 80% win percentage

Meanwhile A&M has the returning Heisman Trophy winner that continued to only get better as the season wore on in spite of whomever they played and yet the SEC will "figure him out" cause they just will. Manziel can't possibly get better in spite of just being a Freshman last year. No, he is doomed to be killed by the SEC.

Hey, whatever makes you feel better I suppose.

oh man...you guys just don't get it

And Toney Hurd Jr is the same as a starter at Nickleback. 2nd leading tackler I believe.

Floyd Raven is an upgrade also IMO and Alonzo Williams who started the Cotton Bowl is a beast in the making. Thank you again Louisiana for the players.

It's VERY hard for LSU fans to grasp that the lesser team can win.

Like LSU vs Bama in 2011 or LSU vs A&M in 2012

Alonzo Williams is from California.

In fact, of our projected defensive starters:

Obioha (Louisiana)
Ennis (Texas)
Williams (California)
Stansbury (Louisiana)
Jenkins (Florida)
Baggs (Texas)
Sanders (Georgia)
Everett (Louisiana)
Harris (Texas)
Raven (Louisiana)
Matthews (Texas)

Less than half are from Texas

Devante Harris was not a listed starter. Dustin Harris started. So that leaves 5 returning starters, 6 left.

You lost-

Stewart
Porter
Nealy
Moore
DUSTIN Harris
Terrell

I'm just not sold on LSU's offense.

So what?

LSU had the 73rd ranked Total Offense for the 2011 season and was playing in the BCSCG. LSU had the 2nd ranked Overall Defense that year.

Alabama had the 30th ranked offense in 2011 and won the BCSCG. They had the #1 ranked Overall Denfense.

Alabama had the 38th ranked Total Offense last season and won the BCSCG. They had the #1 ranked defense.

Are you seeing a trend here?

You guys better open your eyes, this is SEC football. We don't just worry about offense where defense wins championships.

And your running backs who have hardly played will be automatically better too right?

I don't get how A&M people can talk about with such certainty that guys who have yet to play significantly will be so much better.

Alonzo is from Abbeville, I believe. Only went to his Sr year in Cali. Born and raised in the bayou the other 17 years.

Yeah, he's from Louisiana

Playing Ole Miss, Kentucky, State, etc. on the road isn't the same as playing A&M on the road.

That's true. the last time LSU played Kentucky on the road, they lost - but then went on to win the MNC.

Whereas the last time LSU played A&M on the road, they beat the aggies even WITH their Heisman QB.

...so, yeah, good point, Collie Station isn't like other SEC venues.

Maybe y'all will get better with time.
