Not necessarily true!

Florida was #24 when they played A&M. Had A&M won, it is conceivable that they would have been #24 the following week. Between the Ole Miss and LSU games, A&M went from unranked to 18th (2 weeks).

LSU was #4 when they lost to Florida. They played A&M 2 weeks later.

Looking at the BCS rankings for week 6, it is conceivable that A&M would be 10th the week of the LSU/Florida game. It is also conceivable that the LSU/A&M game would have been #4 vs. #6 instead of #6 vs. #18 if they were both unbeaten.

EVEN WITH ONE LOSS, LSU was #5 the week they played Alabama. It's reasonable to assume that A&M would be no lower than 10th that week.

Assuming Alabama beat LSU, now you have #5 LSU and #7 Texas A&M in the BCS rankings.

Assuming A&M then beat Alabama...you now have a HUGE mess. How do you rank 4-7 as Georgia, Alabama, LSU, and A&M all would only have one loss...the latter three to each other.

After Oregon and Kansas State lose...how then do you rank #2 through #5? See above.

In that scenario, you may have #2 Georgia, but then what?
