Had great success at LSU during a period where LSU had tremendous depth at running back. His junior season [his last] was just awesome and as good as any other than LF7

Real good RB. Helped that he had the skill guys around him. His numbers after 2 years against SEC opponents are actually a little better than Fournette.

If LSU had him last year instead of Fournette they may have made it competitive against Alabama. Other than that, very forgettable back. On the level of Ken Darby or Kenny Irons.

Unfortunately.....this.

No. He isn't. You might want to check that.
Nick Chubb averaged 7.06 YAC in 2014 with 1547 yards.

OK so I was wrong about being the all time YPC leader in the SEC. Though I think he did hold the record until Chubb broke it,
Dude. hill averaged 6.9 in 2013, and Chubb averaged 7.06 in 2014, so I guess you are right. he held for for a year.

Part of LSU's sex offender backfield (Hill and Mettenberger).

OP asked non LSU fans what they thought about Jeremy Hill as a college running back. The broad concensus was that he was OK, rather meh, generally middle of conference...but remembered most for his off the field issues.
But then it turns out that what was really wanted by OP was some breathless undeserved homage declaring him to be an all time SEC great feared by all teams. That didn't happen because he wasn't close to that level. I wouldn't put Hill in the top 10 running backs to have played for LSU and that is before taking his personal issues into account.
Fan declaration that so and so is or was great, the OL or DL or some LB is best in nation, or a first round draft pick, etc., gets a little stale. Frankly I question the interminable declarations about how great a QB Meth was...he was a 3 loss season, never conducted a winning drive, sex trouble off field, about the 4th or 5th QB in the conf, etc QB. He was like the QB equivalent of J. Hill. Oh well ...

Under utilized back that could have been better and could have put more heart/effort into some game situations.
Every team has players that have been charged, acquitted, arrested, detained, or otherwise. yes hill was charged but later it was dropped never mind that he was a senior in high school and the girl in question was a freshman and she gave him a BJ. im not defending what he did or didn't do I'm not a lawyer or any type of judicial worker just a fan of LSU.
Now when he hit the kid outside the bar and knocked him out I think he should have been dismissed from the team I don't give a shite what the other guy said. If you are already in the spot light and on probation-----swallow your pride and don't put yourself in those situations again.

Finding new and increasingly creative ways to shite the bed since 1990. Jeremy hill, burfict and pacman earned a special place in bengals lore with that game

He acts like Hill held it for a long time. It was a season. Just seems weird trying to make a point like that. Is that really a notable accomplishment? Somebody (Fournette would be my guess) might break Chubb's record thsi year. I don't think I would start telling everybody Chubb held the record until Fournette broke it. It makes it sound like Hill held it for 20 years or something.

No. I'm pretty sure it didn't get dropped. IIRC, Hill was still on probation when he got in the fight at the bar you referenced.

The sad thing is you probably have a carefully selected top 10 LSU RBs list.

Was he a guy that scared you at RB? Did you find him to be an elite player or merely a good one?
If you say he was not elite then you are dissing a lot of others at LSU including Kevin Faulk and Dalton Hilliard. The numbers never lie.
In LSU history Hill is #3 now in total rushing yards for the season behind Leonard Fournette and Charles Alexander. Alexander beat him by 285 yds on 108 more carries and Fournette beat him by 552 yds on 97 more carries. Neither bested his season YPC mark.
The thing I remember most about Jeremy Hill at LSU was that playing at 235 lbs I never saw anybody run him down from behind if he got the lead in a footrace to the goal line.
