Lot of LSU fans in my family. Would also check the OT for news on restaurants, traffic, etc. in South La when I was traveling. Saw that TD was funnier and better moderated than most boards so I registered. Started posting more after being permanently banned by a certain Aggie-themed message board.

I had never heard of the place until someone sent me a link to the ATPB thread. I came, I saw, I signed up, and I conquered. I have been ruling ever since.

You know, SEC fans have their in-conference rivalries (Bama-Auburn, OM-State, UF-UGA, UT-Bama) and pseudo rivalries (LSU-Bama, UT-UF, Arky-LSU, UGA-AU); and we talk trash to each other on this site (for the most part good-naturedly, sometimes not :) - but one thing we ALL have, is pride in our conference, which I don't think any other conference has in the manner that we do.
Can you imagine a Big 12, Big 10, Pac 10, or ACC Rant set up like this one? (I don't know, maybe there is); but this almost has the feel sometimes of a more national, Rivals.com type of board in the visitors we get and the scope of the threads.
Six straight NCs and six teams currently in the Top 10-12 will do that :)

I belonged to tide sports following the coaches search and there is a local sports show or used to be called the Jimmy Ott show. He was the first to break it here that do not be surprised when Saban is the coach at Alabama. Where there is smoke on this deal there is fire. A few weeks later Saban was named the coach. After I heard Ott I saw a link to this board and started checking it out to see if there was any legs to the rumors. it was the same then as it is now lots of speculation and no One knew squat, but I was hooked. Been here ever since.

Back in 2010 when the first round of conference realignment was taking place, I heard about how A&M fans didn't want to move to the PAC but to the SEC instead.
I started looking for a SEC team message board to see how other SEC teams' fans felt about the possibility, and TigerDroppings was the first site I found. I ended up joining.

I signed up quite a while back but really never posted till recently. Have been lurking for a good while.
Mainly started hanging here because i got tired of the bs at tidefans where you cannot say one thing close to negative without getting banned. At least here you can speak your mind.

Even though I'm an LSU fan, I've lived in Georgia since I graduated. I know fans of every SEC school, other than maybe Mizzou.
I hate all you guys!
At the end of the day, the SEC is the best. Screw everybody else. This board is perfect to bring our brawling asses together.

I came over and lurked during all the Perrilloux drama. The LSU fans can be very entertaining during meltdowns.
