I didn't follow SEC football then: Did Tenn fans try to argue for the rise of Bama when Fran came to A&M?

Is the whole rivalry one beating the shite out of the other while building them up the whole time?

Doesn't seem very fun, or something you would fight to keep if that is the case so it can't be the case.

not bama, and thats more proof to the point. when UT was relevant bama did hate their guts. now that UT doesnt actually rival anyone, save Vandy, of course bammer wants to pump them up. they are tired of taking it on the chin about their weak scheduling anyway.

I think UT showed signs of life, which is good. However, UT football should never be proud of a 24 point loss....ever. UT fans attempting to make it some sort of moral victory is sad and reminds me of Bama fans doing the same during Shula's era. Setting the bar low like that only sets you up for failure in the long run.

Most of those were just honest opinions. Saying things like, "They look improved," is just stating a observation. Even rivals are allowed to say a team looks better than last year.

Sure I get that, but for most fans you DON'T root for your primary rival to win a game against ANYONE. That goes double if the team they are playing recently beat you so that rival would have some sort of bragging right against you.

But it goes beyond that. Bama fans on this forum often try to coach Tenn fans and tell them to keep their chins up. Its ridiculous.

I am not upset. Personally I am a huge fan of the fact that the SEC Front Office obviously values A&M more than LSU (or Arky) and is willing to give us whatever we want (T-day game, South Carolina golf courses, etc.) to keep us happy while they dare y'all to go to the Big 12 with constant screw overs. But that is a different thread.

This thread is about the Tenn and Bama relationship.
