I think it's just the guys ahead of him. At this point, Jones-Smith-Sylve-M. Smith- Fitz-Hump-Jackson...7 guys have started a game for us at either corner or nickel. So there is a lot of talented and experienced guys ahead of him that can be trusted to do their job moreso than Sheffield.

Brown will find a role next year, we just have a ton of young talent at CB. He has also struggled some with a bum shoulder which put him behind. Many think his best position is safety, so we may see a move in the spring ala Eddie Jackson this year--which has turned out to be a masterful move.

Yea, but you can easily say that his production is a direct result of the dominant front 7. Take that away and then what? Does he look more like his former self? There are still a few questions for me
I disagree with this, you make the plays there for you, you aren't gonna be discredited for having a great front 7. Talent in front of him or not, he still has to make the plays and he has.
It's like discrediting Ed Reed or Sean Taylor because Miami was a loaded team on defense. Jackson may not be either of those guys, but its easy to see his talent and its not just luck.
Besides, you could put him behind any front 7 in the NFL and it would be more talented than what Bama has...

Not slacking on punt returns will help is cause for playing time more than anything else.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
I think the most impressive thing about Jackson is what he does after he makes the INT. Dude is like butter going down the field.

Bumping this thread because Mel Kiper Jr was on the radio earlier talking about much he loves Eddie Jackson, and that he will be high on his next big board he draws up.
