Because the SEC already stated the hit was not legal and should have been penalized.

But the hit was not legal, as stated by the SEC, and should have drawn a flag for an illegal hit.

To argue otherwise is laughable, like many gumps that post here.

The incidental helmet to helmet was not legal. The hit was legal.

It was a legal hit.
If the QB is gonna pass the ball to the other team, he better learn some defense or get the hell out of the way.

If the hit was illegal, should Dial let him go, leaving Murray with the ability to make a tackle on the ball carrier? Seems like he was doing his job to me.

What is Georgia going to do about it?

For the actual helmet to helmet late hit on McCarron that got penalized in the game.

They are talking about the Georgia player trying to gouge out Milliner's eyeball.

And this.

The issue never was could Murray be blocked/hit on that play; it was whether the hit was helmet to helmet. My assessment: Dial led with his shoulder but their helmets definitely collided. It would have never happened if Murray had stayed in the pocket. When a QB wanders out of the pocket following an INT then he is fair game.

No, the call was missed on the field. He should have been flagged.

People/Bama fans saying it was a legal hit are wrong.

I don't think it warranted a suspension, but it was definitely dirty as frick.

Whatever.

Hit was illegal as stated.

It is comical some gumps STILL claim otherwise.

And as I stated, I do not believe it deserved a suspension.

Which happens on 90% of all tackles...

Helmets making contact is not illegal. Its how the hit was initiated that the rules were designed for.

That can be debated, but it happens so fast, it's a hard call for the offical. The 100# difference in their weight made the block look violent.

Some people didnt understand the rules. I feel as a fanbase we did a solid job of making sure everyone learned them.

Just like the Alabama fanbase explained the "rules" after the Peterson int in 2009.
