No pressure, Jeremy Johnson... no pressure at all

Thank goodness I think JJ is a personality of the type that can handle the hype and the pressure. Kid is very mature and has a solid foundation after playing backup QB for 2 years.

Auburn's Johnson on verge of stardom
This question is a no-brainer for me since I selected Auburn's junior quarterback, Jeremy Johnson, as my darkhorse Heisman candidate. He was named Alabama's Mr. Football in 2012, played well in place of senior starter Nick Marshall when given the chance as a sophomore last season, and has a wealth of receiver talent to work with in 2015. The combination of his size (6-foot-5, 240 pounds), rocket arm and toughness as a runner should worry even the toughest of SEC defenses. In-state rival Alabama might have highly regarded Jake Coker taking the reins this year, but Johnson could be the one stealing the show in the Iron Bowl.

Thank goodness that because you think it, it must be true.

Yeah, yeah they will be pressure on him. Can he handle it we sure will find out. He has a tremendous upside no doubt about it.

It really is. Jeremy Johnson was a much bigger recruit than Coker coming out of HS.

Hopefully he'll wait until half way through the season to trademark a nickname he made up...

This has to be the most hyped qb ever. This guy hasnt even been a full time starter. If he is worth all the hype, auburn will win the national championship. No disrespect but i dont do all the hype thing. He gotta prove it to me.

Auburn's offense will definitely be different this year but it remains to be seen if it's more productive overall. Nick Marshall's running ability kept defenses on their heels and set up the playaction pass beautifully. Defenses may not have to worry quite as much about the qb keeper on the read option which might mean they can focus a little more on pass coverage.
Or not. Hell I don't know. It will be fun to watch though.

the catch 22 is that our offensive line is absolutely fantastic this yr. Our OL coach seems to feel that our OL this year is better overall than it was in 2013. And we have 4 exceptional talents at RB so if you focus too much on the pass we can still run the ball. The running game just might look more like a 2009 Auburn with Ben Tate.

This is what I am looking forward to the most. D's could load up the box with Nick. They will not be able to do that with Jeremy. Gus likes to take advantage of what the D's are giving. I think opposing D's are going to have to play much more honest this year.
