Not true. Bill Curry's reason for refusing to go was that they couldn't guarantee him that weather would be suitable for flying after the game (in other words, Bama might have been delayed on the ground if the worst case scenario occurred). It was a pretext, pure and simple. Curry was a chickenshit.

It was hilarious to hear all the pissed off Bama fans who had arrived in College Station in their RVs on Thursday, wandering around town in beautiful weather bitching about Curry. They knew what was behind the decision.

Alabama beat A&M 30-10 in College Station!!... I'm sure he was REALLY scared.

Doesn't change the fact that you guys had no hotel rooms available because of evacuees... That's the discussion of this thread, is it not?

Ok? So should LSU have just cancelled the football season in 2005? Because there evacuees in hotels for months

It's like with LSU now. We'd have kicked that arse any time and any place....30-10 is an arse whipping in anybody's book.

LSU made us play in 2005 when all of the hotel rooms canceled on the fans for evacuees. The game was still played in Baton Rouge even though it shouldn't have. Payback is a bitch. You guys can deal.

So, you expected LSU to cancel all their 2005 home games after Katrina? You're still mad about that?

Um, no.

The day after a Cat4 hurricane is a bit different than 6 weeks later.

Where are the millions going who are being told to evacuate? It seems like Gainesville might be a good destination for them, no?

They will probably need more than 9 rooms.

But your friends sister should be good to go, all she has to do is book one of the rooms currently available.
