I mean, did you see Joker Phillips?

I remember ESPN sending Jemele Hill to Kentucky's game versus Vandy right before he was fired so they could come up with some race-baiting "He's only getting fired because he's black" shite. The stadium was legit half empty.

Then he lost 40-0 to Vandy. She couldn't even salvage his arse.

You shouldn't get fired with a name like that, in my opinion

As the title of this thread suggest... "No black HC in SEC - problem?", we are in fact talking about race.

It’s like the Eric bienemy deal. Everyone cries about him not being a NFL HC but totally overlook that he has a criminal past that is very awful and the fact that his current HC is Andy Reid who has always been seen as an offensive guru that runs his own offense

To build on that, no one seems to have a problem that Pete Carmichael never gets HC consideration. He's been a Saints assistant since 2006 when Payton joined, his first year as full time OC was 2009 the Super Bowl year.

"No one's asking for any favors", says the guy asking for favors.

Here's an idea be a better coach if you want to coach in the best league in America.

Do you realize how dumb this sounds when looking at how bad some of the coaches in the SEC have been (currently are)?
That statement makes it seem like all SEC schools have amazing coaches when it's just a handful.

Impressively stupid take, congrats

Sylvester and the writer should ask Morgan Freeman what to do.

“ There would be if Kevin Sumlin and Derek Mason weren't terrible coaches”

Jimbo should count towards the quota, after all he has an identical coaching record when compared to Sumlin lol

Keep your eye on DeMeco Ryans. I think (hope) he gets a shot at HC somewhere some day.

Fans want to win, they don't care if Bozo is on the sidelines.

Croom should have tried not doing an awful, awful job at Miss St. Same for Derek Mason at Vandy. Same for Joker Phillips at Kentucky. FWIW - James Franklin did an awesome job at Vandy ... and chose to leave for Penn State. He could have had other jobs in the SEC, however, if he had wanted to stay.

Guess who else gets fired in the SEC, every year ? White coaches. At least one coach gets fired every year. Usually two to three.

Yes, I stay up at night fretting over why we didn't hire a black coach instead of Saban.

Blacks set the precedent for the inferiority stereotype and continue to through their current actions. It won't and can't be changed until they change it. Good luck. Can't erase history because the truth doesn't fit your narrative.(though attempts are constantly being made) Throughout history blacks have always been considered inferior. They've made great strides in that area yet continue with an inferiority complex. When are we expecting that to change? How much more time do they need? It's been 60 years since the civil rights movement and still the stereotype remains. Again, is that our fault or their own? True equality isnt begged for it is understood and earned through work not handouts. When the bar of acceptance is continuously lowered to fit a certain group in that is not equality. In fact it is the opposite of it

Oh boy, you really have no self-awareness, do you? A substantial percentage of current issues in this country is a direct result of the Jim Crow era that, by the way, long outlasted the official beginning of the Civil Rights era. It really is that simple. However, we have a portion of the population that can't even bear to have the history taught, let alone understand that solving today's issues will absolutely be dependent on untangling the knots which were tied so tightly for decades. The worse the sins of the father, the longer they will trouble the lives of the sons....if you want to put it in Biblical terms.
