ETA: I'm being 100% serious. For a while, we were certain (for only a couple of days, but whatever) that he would come to Ole Miss. Set us up for a big letdown there.
And then the whole phone conversation where he and his bagman tried to get us set up? God damn State, y'all are amateurs if you think we're falling for that shite.

I also think that y'all were a bit fired up by our 'crootin and stepped it up with the bagmen that year. Y'all were going to be sure as shite that y'all got Jones, because you didn't want to let us get him and Nkemdiche.

I think we had to tread very lightly due to the looming recruiting violations, otherwise I think we would have been able to keep Jones more secure. This year, now out of probation, our recruiting is way better. Which, supports my theory that we had to lay low for the probation period.

How would one go from being certain that you could buy a kid, to a complete 180 where the kid tries to set you up?
