programs have 2 options right now.....

Cheat using collectives... which are used for recruiting players illegally.

Set back and play by the rules and maybe try and retain your own players.

Looks like NCAA is showing a sign of life but the progress they are going at only promotes teams from bankrolling more talent. Tenn had got a top collective at almost 20 mil a season Ole miss forked out 18mil this class. Obviously these are rumors but are tracked by interviews.
Teams like UGA and Bama will pay some but not going to fork out like the lower schools who are desperate.

So either the NCAA goes at a faster pace punishing obvious violators like Florida and FSU or more teams will join in because they are being left behind. For all of this to end the NCAA needs to make a point and drop the hammer. The FSU punishment was laughable.

You need to hyphenate it like free-for-all

Otherwise you sound like the Bernie Sanders of NIL

Schools like UGA and Bama cheated before NIL was a thing to get to where they are. It's hilarious watching them now complain that everyone gets to do it.

I agree it’s the desperate programs paying more, I just don’t believe the ridiculous numbers bandied about for clicks. I see why OSU, FSU, Aggie, and Ole Miss are the names that keep popping up.

Exactly. So funny to see an OU fan complain about cheating.

when a player gets in the portal and has a landing spot in less than 24 hours, he's been tampered with. by the book, tampering is cheating and against the rules.

the problem isn't NIL, the problem is the transfer portal and no penalty transfers.

if a coach leaves, sure let them transfer with no repercussions, but other than that, get rid of the shite.

I don’t know if you are aware but recruits can call a school to gage interest before they enter the portal. So what you described is not cheating. Also it didn’t involve the NIL. You said cheating with the NIL. Try again.

Texas is paying more than anyone by a hefty margin. But they are “protected”

So you’re saying Lane signed all those players on his own? At Ole Miss? No promises made before signing? Didn’t even discuss it?

The lesser teams have to pay more in Theo portal because they can’t finish in the top 5 for recruiting. It’s their only carrot at the end of the stick

OU will never be relevant in the world of NIL. And even if there are rules in place they won’t be relevant.

Exactly. Everything I have seen shows Texas being the highest paying school by several million dollars per year. Just being on their 3 deep automatically puts a player over the national average pay.
