Good ole REC. Y'all should have learned by now to deal with it

With Bama being the only true SEC contender for the BCSCG just think about how great the refs will be Sat Night. REC probably didn't even have to write the check , Slive probably did it for us, plus you know bham

Honestly I am tired of the phrase, but it's not without merit. Dude is money in bowls for the most part.

Would you rather hear "Gene Chizik with a month to prepare"?

22-19

Or how about "Les Miles with a month to prepare."

Oklahoma State. Sorry, we forgot all about you. Just another one of those teams that's great one year then falls completely off the planet the next. Say hi to Kansas State.

When you play in a shitty conference and pile up wins against shitty teams with gratuitous two point conversions, it's easier to stay on top out there.

Honestly, while he has done well, at least at Bama, in one case, he was playing a team he had already played once, and let's face it- in a rematch of pretty evenly divided teams, the loser of the first is almost always the more motivated of the two. Against Notre Dame, he simply had by far the better team all the way around. He certainly prepared well, but Bama was going to win that game regardless. And Texas lost its QB early on so that sort skewed that game pretty well.

At Michigan State he lost all 3 bowl games.

AT LSU, he was 3-2. Although I think he had already jumped ship by the last bowl- i can't remember.

Saban is always going to prepare as much as possible, but I think this meme is a bit overrated.

I wouldn't mind a rematch against Utah. Lots of respect for Wittingham. Unfortunately, Utah will never be in the game that matters.

Whine all you want.

At this point at UA, with a month to prepare, he is 5-1 with three NC's and an average margin of victory of over 20 PPG. Not to mention another at LSU, btw....

I'd take him over any coach UGA has ever had.

What's Saban's record in bowls right before he leaves for another job? Packing his bags for Tx may have him distracted

Meh, I don't much care about it myself. It was just the first thing that popped in my head when I read the thread...

Doesn't matter. What Nick wants, Nick gets.

If he wants the UT job, Mack will just bend over and bite the pillow.

Does anyone have Fisher or Shaw on speed-dial?
