All three of Meyer's NC teams got their shite pushed in by a team they had no business losing to. One of them being at home. They were great stories, of course. But what Saban did in '09 set the tone for 4 straight Alabama (state) teams winning the NC and was 1 of only two SEC teams in the streak to go undefeated.

Nick Saban's '09 team took an undefeated Florida squad that was on a 22 game winning streak and destroyed them on national television. It's all an opinion of course, but they've gotten the best of each other at times. So oh well.

Saban at this point, but Urban has a brighter future.

Saban has been fortunate on some of his Natties also (LSU should have been USC) and of course the mulligan game.

So has Meyer. The '06 title almost never happened because of cries for a rematch between Michigan and Ohio State. And the '14 title wouldn't have happened without the playoff.

While I would say that Saban and Meyer are the premiere coaches in the game today, Saban and Les have a pretty good series going between them.

3-6 isn't a great record, but all but two games were decided by one score. It's usually a great game to watch.

So even though they've only played 4 times....would you say this is one of the top coaching battles ever or at least in recent history?

Not the best ever yet, but currently the best in today's world of college football.

Not just no, but hell no. Playing only four times disqualifies them.

They've met in some big games, yeah, but four games is just not enough.
