I agree borotjger, it all makes no sense. Gus being HC shouldn’t matter one bit when Auburn badly needs to at least make an attempt to try to keep up with their SEC rivals.

Now AU has an AD that’s making every program cut their budget? After Pearl took them the final four and Butch took them to the CWS he tells them to cut 10%?

Tommy Tuberville made Alabama focus on coaching again. Tommy kicking bama’s arse on the reg made Alabama realize that they could not just beat Auburn because “hey we’re bama” . They figured out that coaching matters more than “being bama”.

Tommy says thanks you and remember to vote.

Thank Gawd for Tommy Tubs!

He systematically place Bama in a legendary decade, now Bama is rewriting the history books.

I don't know well enough the budget situation to answer to the details regarding the reported budget cut request.

I do know that Gus put down a personal, and significant, down payment on the football facility that will be rescinded if he's no longer there. Gus' status has nothing to do with the decision to build or not. Never has.

Exactly. Now remember that when it is time to vote for Alabama Senate.

Jacobs wanted to expand capacity and the BOT wanted more suites. In the long run the BOTs were smart not to approve the expansion with attendance in question for the future in CF. AU still has a long waiting list for suites, but AU is moving too slowly on this issue

Auburn didn’t get on the stadium expansion wagon like every other SEC school did and it’s starting to look like the correct choice. With college football game attendance declining and future tv contracts looking to be less lucrative Auburn now can be more strategic where ther money goes. It also will allow Auburn to have the newest and most advanced facilities when they are done.

Auburn can know decide to add chair backs, donor areas, suites, top grade football facility or whatever with a clearer picture than all the other schools who’ve dumped nearly a billion into facilities and are now talking about they may have to rip many of these upgrades out. Looks to me maybe Auburn in being more financially prudent with their money. Once Auburn starts spending their upgrades will last longer since a decline in revenue will causes other schools not to be able to react as quickly.
