What a weird day to leave a team. It must have been strange for LSU fans to be watching ESPN and seeing that scroll across the bottom of the screen.

And then he skipped over Brees and the Saints won a Super Bowl

The excuses for why he sucked and Miles would be a better coach than him were hilarious.

Corndogs have at least kept the delusion tradition up

The doctors forced him to skip over Brees. That was good for both the Saints and Bama.

I wasnt watching espn. I was spending time with my family because they are more important than football.

Both my kids are napping right now which gave me time to check this cesspool.

Kids napping on Christmas morning?

That's a lie. You're ignoring your family to hang out with us.

You mean like you're spending time with the family now?

He still wanted Brees, it was the GMs decision.

I am assuming LSU went to a bowl game that year. Did Saban coach them in that game? If not, who did?

Enjoy the run while it lasts. They all come to an end and Saban isn't getting any younger. I was always in the LSU camp that laughed and argued with other fans about Miles. I was hoping LSU would get back in the Saban race when he decided to come back but our AD wanted a cheaper yes man instead.

It's Christmas morning, Alabama is in the playoff, and LSU is still on your mind

It was a very weird day to say the least. I was in Bryson City NC at my inlaws when the news officially announced. I said o well there goes the best coach in CFB.

Saban decided Saturday to leave his comfort zone at LSU, a university for which he has great respect and fondness, and accept the task of rebuilding the Dolphins organization. The decision came after long Thursday and Friday sessions at his home in Baton Rouge, where he weighed his future with his wife, Terry, and his agent, Jimmy Sexton. "We've never ever taken over successful programs," said Saban, who announced his decision, after apprising university officials and his players of it, at an evening news conference in Orlando on Saturday. "We've taken challenges that were difficult, worked hard and had an effect in a positive way. That's one of the reasons I feel I can be successful in this challenge."

What could have been.

LSU is like Tiny Tim and Bama is Ebenezer Scrooge.
