i just think it's ironic that there is a Ford ad at the to of TD that has Nick Saban wearing alabama gear on it.

Question: Do you ever see the TJ Ribs ad?

When you answer, think about it.

He'll be in Ford ads wearing Dallas Cowboys gear next year. That will be even more ironic.

Only irony I see is maybe the "Ford" part.

Otherwise, Bama has lots of fans on here, and Ford obviously did the research and figured this was a good place for an ad.

I just saw a rigzone ad, the TJ Ribs ad Home of the 2010 LSU coaches show, and the GEAUX.com dinner ad. My computer must think i am not in Huntsville anymore.

This board sells ad's just like any other. Anyone can advertise if they pay the money.

Most browsers pick up cookies from sites you visit and the advertisements that you see are specifically tailored to you.

For example, I was online shopping for throw pillows and a blanket for my wife earlier in the week and, about an hour later, an add for Overstock.com and the exact pillows I was looking at showed up on a totally unrelated website.
The internets is watching you :bigbrother:

Location probably has something to do with it as well (there is an Alabama Power ad at the top of the page for me as I write this now).

This guy nailed it for the OP. He was specific and exact in how it works. Additionally, TD is likely part of an Ad Network (Microsoft, Yahoo, Right Media, Google, or all). They make their unsold inventory available to those networks. The network in turn sells that inventory as part of a Geo-Targeted or Behaviorally Targeted buy (or both) and shares revenue on that with TD.

This is actually what I do for a living. I work in interactive marketing and advertising (FTR - none of my clients are on TD).
