I'm sure Brent Calloway was pretty highly recruited. There is a longggggggggggggggg list of highly touted prep players that could not handle the college game. You gumps act like saban never misses on a 'cruit. It is both cute and comical.

The inner ITATer in me thinks this is Saban lubing the Bama fans up before the Jonathan Taylor news drops.

Jake Holland was a 4* cruit. I rest my case.

Poor kid never had a chance at AU under Ted Roof.

Want to know what else is cute and comical? He's 91-16 at Alabama with 3 SEC titles and 3 SEC titles, with the possibility of winning a 4th next month. He misses on recruits but, going by the stats provided above, it doesn't happen very often.

Not at all. It happens every year.

However, you claimed the reason that Pettway was let back, while others who have left the program were not given another chance, was because of his talent.

And the players involved in the incident were just as highly touted, if not more so, than Pettway was coming out of high school.

Can he play? Then we'll take him.

That is precisely what I claimed. I will also claim that there will be players on this past years team, who have not panned out, that will not have their scholarship renewed because bama will over sign this NSD.

ETA.....and that is how saban operates. He has been very successful doing it. Just don't act like you are giving a very very talented football player another shot out of the goodness of your heart.

Also, if he is so into second chances why does he so very rarely offer unlimited releases to his transfers?

He always gives kids unconditional releases you dolt. He released Corey Grant knowing full well that he was going to play for Bama's biggest rival.

Did he say anything about helping the other players that were involved in that incident?

Solid follow up question...

Maybe there was more to the entire situation than what was made known to the public and Pettway wasn't the primary agressor. Maybe the other guys didn't want to come back to Bama.

Saban didn't release Corey Grant. He walked on at Auburn his first year. As long as he paid his own way for the first year, there was nothing Saban could do to stop it
