Half his yards vs top-10 teams is a far cry from his "he only gets his yards against the bad teams" bullshite he used to spew.

This was true in 2012. It was not a bullshite statement as it related to the 2012 season. I can see how it upsets you now.

I didn't mean it as a flame. Just saying based off the last 2 drafts.

didnt take it as one.

And I agree, shouldnt take a RB in the first round, especially with the lower pay scale/signing bonuses

Not at all. Different pad level, they absorb hits differently, different body styles. Agree to disagree. I think Hill has a much high ceiling than Murray.

I have nothing detrimental to say about any RB who plays in the SEC and rushes for 1800+ yards.

That's not easy.

Tre Mason's argument for best RB this draft is as good as anyone's. My guess would be if Mason gets drafted by a decent NFL organization that fits his style. He'll succeed at the next level. He's a great runner that gets lost behind the OL, has great vision, great instincts, and he's very tough to tackle. Plus, his character is top notch. I'd draft him without question if my team was looking for a RB that could help us win games.

A better one just declared

Ka'Deem Cary

And the article was likely written on Sun before Hill announced

Tre will be good no doubt though

until Jeremy Hill declared 3 hours ago. Tre Mason was a product of the system. A good back made to look great with misdirection and trickery. Won't be an every down back in the NFL. He will be the next Jaquizz.

Mason reminds me a lot of Trent. Hope he pans out better in the league. Never doubt Jim Brown!

Trent didn't have near the vision or agility of Mason.

Those are things you just can't teach.

Hill will be better as an everydown back but Tre should carve out a good career if he stays healthy IMO.

This is an article about how Jeremy Hill declaring for the draft changes the list. Tre Mason slips to 2A. Hill #1

He definitely had the agility, you are correct though in his lack of vision which is becoming very apparent in the NFL.

That system back got 1,000 yards on a team that went 3-9 and was really probably worst than their record.

I wish him all the best in the NFL and am glad as hell Bama won't have to face him next year. He's a beast.
