how many are only on the practice squad? i dont think Ware has played since like week 2. i wonder if the value of their scholarships is worth more than the practice squad paycheck?

Just saw this on Twitter. That is a crazy stat.

@JBradEdwards: NFL draft early entries last 2 years:
LSU 18
Big 12 11
Big Ten 10

stat is inaccurate. either way its a ton. this year it was only 6 though and a ton of teams had 5. basically the 11 last year is the outlier.

well, thats better than sitting at home. but the raiders are a "black hole" of a football program.
It's also infinitely better than playing for any college team.

I could have sworn that if you're on the practice squad that you're still in the NFL

meh, there are advantages to being in college. if you are just going to hang around on the practice squad for a few months and then be cut and sent home, staying in college might be a better option.

what about Montgomery? the raiders cut him after 4 days.

Montgomery was signed on Wednesday and later placed on the practice squad/IR list, but only lasted a total four days with the Raiders. This is hardly the type of the situation that will help him secure another opportunity next season.

If only we could keep some of those guys around for senior leadership we could be winning championships. A lot of the decisions were the right one, but some made absolutely no sense. We had a punter declare early for fricks sake

no. im just trying to talk to you guys about players leaving early. im not flaming or trolling. the only negative comments i've made are towards the raiders organization.

Starting to sense some Bama butthurt in this thread.

What do Bama fans have to be butthurt about here?

No one has done less with more than LSU, IMO.

LSU is in it for the long haul, go to LSU and you will get to the NFL and be successful. LSU develops talent period. Im cool with that.

Include just about NFL every team in there as well, seeing as no one wants any "superiorly- coached" Saban defensive backs.

The only halfway decent pro player to come out of Alabama since Saban got there is Hightower for New England.

most of the guys who left early last year havent exactly been successful in the NFL yet. ware, simon, wing, montgomery, and ford havent done much of anything so far.
