with his dad's admission of trying to "sell" his son to the highest bidder. If he bid him out to MSU then you know damn-well he did the same to Auburn. This fact/admission, combined with the sudden timely financial windfall for Newton's church is enough to remove 99% of the doubt. Auburn remains dirty and if SEC and MCAA allow this to go unchecked, then the next school caught doing the same ought to invoke "The Auburn Statute."

Auburn is about to get crushed so I wouldn't rely on ever being able to use the Auburn statute. Auburn is fuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

If Cecil actually approached multiple people at Miss State trying to get money, do you not think he approached at least one person or mentioned it to one coach at Auburn??? Seems ridiculous to me that he tried to get money out of all these people at Miss State and didn't even mention it to one person at Auburn. Even if Aub didn't pay, if Cecil spoke to them about it and they failed to report it, that is a violation. I would be my arse he at least tried to get some $$ out of them even if they didn't pay. Aub is guilty.

And I thought Slavery had been abolished. Looks like dad did or tried to do the same thing. Dad gets money....son does not....son goes where dad says.....works for someone for free. Where's Al and Jesse in all of this?

he didn't even have an offer from AU prior to his visit (which was WITHOUT his parents). You frick bags need to read a little history of his recruitment...

How the hell do you roll up in an SEC school and say "Hey, I know you guys haven't even offered my kid yet..or seen him...but for 200k you can sign him"

Same for Oklahoma, Kansas State, Tennessee, Arizona etc..

That is why the only school under investigation from the beginning and even up to this point has been Miss St... did cecil the weisel bring up money at Miss St? I dunno..maybe...but that doesn't mean its defacto that he did everywhere else. 2+2 does not equal jello.

In the hysteria and schadenfreude of a wishful mob there hasn't been much common sense.....on either side.

I love college sports...I dont care for the NFL or NBA personally. I want to see amatuer athletes compete. Newton is NOT an amatuer athlete and is ineligible obviously.

AU was informed back in JANUARY that Miss St filed a complaint about Newtons recruitment and if THAT doesnt get your attention...then what does???? Institutional control was used against USCw in the Bush fiasco and AU is way way way worse off in this case. Schools have an obligation to make SURE they put athletes on the field that are eligible.

AU can choose to play Cam today....but I think they know the gig is up and they can save "some" face by preventing him from playing now. The NCAA is going to take a wrecking ball to AU anyway...but why add another year of scholly reductions or bowl eligibility?

The FBI is questioning Kenny Rogers on Tuesday and the AU/Newton family are sheeting on themselves as I type...because the FBI doesnt mess around. The FBI is investigating if the Newtons extorted $$ which what they did basically. The Newtons will roll all OVER AU to save their azzs..because they need to save their necks...they will have to paint AU as very willing to pay $$ for Camns services.

Get some popcorn and watch the drama. Gee...could it be possible LSU & UF play again in Hotlanta? Of course we have to beat USCw and AU has to lose twice.

"Intent" will get you jail time...just not as much as the actual deed. Spend some time in court and you'll see. Dad's INTENT was to sell his son. This in and of itself is a punishable act. Nothing good for Auburn will come of this.
