I don't like either one of them.

He did steal a laptop, and was kicked out of a school that harbored a murderer and another player who threatened to kill his girlfriend.

As for the thug thing, I hate "thug=racism" but labeling Cam a thug makes zero sense. He's much closer to metrosexual than thug.

Agreed, that label doesn't make any sense. At all. Outside of it being used as a substitute for.....well.......yea

Yeah I don't see how you get a thug out of Cam Newton. Guy doesn't even dress like a thug. Media Day pants were fruity, wore tight jeans to the Super Bowl presser, wasn't sagging. Well spoken, smiles a lot, donates, spend time with kids, etc.

If that's a thug or thuggish behavior then this country really is pussified.

I saw a video of him taking his shoes off, signing them, and then giving them and a hat he was wearing to a little retarded boy.

It was a great video. I think differently, and much better, about him now.

I do find it interesting that people forget that while they praise Peyton for being "classy".

Cam came across as petulant without a doubt, but he at least didn't throw his teammates under the bus like Peyton did a few years ago.

And, Newton hasn't held down and teabagged a teen girl in a dark Hillbilly locker room.

Why isn't what Peyton did considered thuggish behavior? But Cam smiles, dances, it's considered thuggish. Wonder what gives.

Not sure but, probably racism.

Anyway, Peyton developed some kind of obsession with this girl and even mentioned her, by the ugly nickname he used for her, in a book he wrote. That is a little much.

That is what the article said, don't know if it's true. Looked like a real article when I read it.

She filed a harassment suit against him to make him lay off her, if the article was true.

He had this derisive nickname for her, something about being foul mouthed, and he used that name all the time.

Peyton Article about incident, seems accurate.

quote:

Manning was having pain in one of his feet and was crouched behind him when “entirely unprovoked, Peyton Manning decided to pull down his shorts and sit on Dr. Naughright’s head and face.”

As Naughright described it in a deposition entered into the court record: “It was the gluteus maximus, the rectum, the testicles and the area in between the testicles. And all that was on my face when I pushed him up. … To get leverage, I took my head out to push him up and off.”
