Yep. We lose to #3 team and beat LSU, a&m, and USCe. They lose to unranked team and haven't played one ranked team besides Clemson. Whatever, it'll be settled next week.

That AP poll is garbage.

I've always thought that it was among the most accurate, along with the Harris and Legends Poll. Never understood the credence given the coaches poll. Active coaches, if they're worth a crap, should be studying their upcoming opponents, not rating other teams.

Plus, Steve Spurrier votes Duke #1 every time.

Glenn Guilbeau ranked Bama 5th in the AP.

The joke is on him: he works for Gannett.

ETA:
-The douche from the South Bend Tribune, Eric Hansen, ranked Florida #2, Alabama #3, SoCar #4, and UGA #7.

-Josh Kendall, douche from the The State (Columbia, SC), has Texas A&M ranked #2, ahead of Alabama #3 and LSU #4 - suppose he has a "if you beat them head-to-head" rule.

-Ira Schoffel (never trust a man named Ira), mega douche from the Tallahassee Givesmecraps, has FSU ranked #3

-Newcomer Joe Walljasper, from the Columbia (MO) Daily-Tribune, has Florida #11, but LSU #8 and aTm #9. Not arguing that either one shouldn't be ahead of Florida (though I think Florida should for sure be ahead of aTm), but the gap between those three is nowhere near that large.

All this kind of reminds me of last year's coaches poll with Saban ranking OkSt low to help his team get the edge.

As a whole, I still find the AP more accurate than the Coaches, but the homerism from asshats like these guys makes you wonder.

LSU exposed you last year. Stanford is fricking garbage and just beat you at home.

You are on some super potent crack if you think this years Oregon team is the same as last years. Their offense is a hell of alot better and their defense is alot better too.

And by the way, Stanford is a damn good team too. I know its hard for you to believe, but there actually are decent teams outside of the SEC

The computers absolutely love Florida and do not like Oregon very much.

If everything happens the way Florida needs it to happen, I think Florida's computer numbers pushes them ahead of Oregon by a decent margin in the BCS rankings. The only way Florida doesn't make it is if enough human voters push Florida down in the ballots to avoid another all-SEC matchup. Again, assuming everything happens the way Florida needs it to happen (Notre Dame loss, beat FSU).

The dogs have an almost solid lock on the bottom of the top 25 teams in the nation.

Could be worse....

South Carolina... who was ranked quite a bit higher than Stanford at the time, I might add.

Margin of defeat doesn't matter anymore. Have fun on the outside looking in, though.

So who has FSU played? It's almost as voters don't want to admit that the best teams in the country are in the SEC so they pump up other teams. It's like the Heisman. People don't want to give it to JFF. ESPN pumping up Braxton Miller lol get the frick out of here. Marieta or whatever the frick his name is was getting pumped by ESPN all week. Woops

Oregon still has two ranked teams left to play.

Maybe. If Stanford beats UCLA next week, Oregon will be shut out of the P12CG and Stanford will be the rep. Last night was the absolute worst game Oregon could have possibly lost. It was equivalent to LSU losing to Bama or if Alabama had lost to LSU.

What's interesting to me is that ND isn't a consensus #1.
Because anyone who has actually watched ND play this year knows they are a hot pile of garbage not worthy to even be in the top 10.

TheBob, I can tell you why UGA is above Oregon. Because, we didn't lose to Stanford last night!!! We play defense also!!!

Bottom line is this

If UGA beats Bama (unlikely but could happen) and UF beats FSU next week

Oregon beats U$Cw that is ranked but not out of the top 25, then they play UCLA on the CG weekend they will jump back over UF I think that next weekend and get in the NCG
