Yes. It is. Already had two attempts and both were horrendous. The third attempt should have been marginally better. Instead, it looks like a trophy given to the winner of Miss Starkville.

IMO if we are gonna keep the "magnolia bowl" name, we should make a trophy similar to the old cotton bowl trophy.

The first trophy design was never used. There has only been one trophy in use since its debut the '08 game. It's was kind of plain-looking but at least still resembled something like trophy. It's not too late to retain the old, traditonal one--is LSU going to have a say on the issue of changing the design?

Am I the only one who noticed all of the Arky and M State fans commenting on this thread? Is the Magnolia Bowl really that much of a threat to the Egg Bowl and Battle for the Golden Boot?

So, basically, whoever wins in the series gets to decide what the new trophy looks like. That's an interesting approach to a rivalry game.
