Serious question. How the hell was Butch able to land the top recruit in the country with all this negativity hanging around the program?

Butch got his sister a job in the athletic department. He's also letting her peg him nightly.

Last season was a slight disappointment but the number of injuries on defense were staggering. I expect another win over Florida and Georgia next season and to win the East.

UF had twice as many injuries on defense - and won the east.

His sister works at UT and Smith could very well start day 1 against Georgia Tech next season.

His sister was given the job in order to get this guy to commit.

We all know the NCAA is getting ready to look into that situation.

No doubt - yes you are.

That's what I hear most often from Vol fan family members.

Not a fan of his cheesy sales man act from the start. As a fan I was hoping he would do well. Unfortunately the way he made the OLINE he was handed look so bad lost me early. Worse thing was all the hate for Dooley the fans were blaming it on the players for being overrated to start instead of an early sign of bad player development.

I think Dooley got a raw deal, and anyone who thinks Jones inherited worse than what Dooley did has no clue how to compare the differences during the times each came in. Jones gets way to much credit for "rebuilding."

The warning signs for the season were there from the start. Tenn should've lost to Appalachian State.
