Because we love and miss him. Thanks for mentioning Lane and ruining my night. Now I'm going to spend the next four hours watching 2009 VOLS highlights and reminiscing on happier times :(

I still like Butch. Last season was a slight disappointment but the number of injuries on defense were staggering. I expect another win over Florida and Georgia next season and to win the East.

What I see is that Jones was exposed in the second half of the Vandy game as not having the analytical skills to counter the Vandy adjustments. This even though Josh Dobbs was red hot.

No way not to sound like a dick here, but really not trying to be.
ClK had UT on a good path, Dooley was a shite show, and butch wasn't/isn't much better.
That said, yes there has been marginal improvement, but UT is a long way from relevant. All the pieces minus quality coaching were in place this year to no avail.

Can't speak for the state of Tennessee but I'm sure Butch has picked up some post life championship support from the folks at Quaker Oats (Life cereal maker) and Hasbro (Life board game maker). If Butch stays, maybe there are some sponsorship opportunities to take advantage of. Maybe the power T at midfield can be replaced with the Quaker Oats man!
