You should not wear Mizzou gear to a former rival schools presidential suite. I get his point of view. That reflects poorly on him.

He should not expect you to wear the gear of a school you don't like. It would be one thing if you were just "not a fan", but the fact that you legitimately don't like this school is another story.

For you to visit the presidential suite, it isn't out of the question for him to expect you to support the team. That makes sense.

I would say he is being an a-hole, but he is also right. You aren't wrong, but you may not have handled it in the best way. I would just call him back and say you didn't mean for it to get heated, but that it just isn't that big of a deal for you to sit in the suite. Let the other guy have the ticket and watch the kids.

I took my roommate to the A&M v PVAMU game. He wore his Ohio State jersey. There were some nasty looks thrown our way, but no one really cared. I also do not sit in a suite, much less the presidential suite. That definitely changes things.

I probably would have done the exact same thing you did TBH.

It's the Presidential Suite dude. If you aren't going dressed as Abe Lincoln, wearing a MAGA hat, you're doing it wrong.

Yeah. That sounds about like the kind of thing sanctimonious Cards fans (and by extension Mizzou fans) would do.

And who the frick wears a stocking cap in a suite, let alone in (I'm assuming) Austin, Texas where it's supposed to be a high of 70 on Saturday? Maybe he's concerned moreso that you'd be that guy wearing a stocking cap indoors in decent weather and not so much the mizzou guy?

Aggie, what if the school was Texas and your first cousin expected this of you?

My first instinct would be to tell him to frick off and stay at home. Then after realizing that would be a total dick move, I would absolutley wear an A&M jersey, hat, and all the other maroon I could find. I would tell him to shove his presidential suite ticket up his own arse and watch the game with the kids while having insults and trash thrown my way. I would be cheering like crazy for the opposing team as well. Just go all out with it.

Honestly though, it's a shitty situation to be in. I wouldn't want to go to the game, but you look like a rude POS if you don't. Wear the hat. Sit with the kids. Try and be civil. Enjoy the holiday.

Oh how about this: Go get a custom shirt made that says something like "Daddy is teaching us what rock bottom looks like" and get all the kids to wear them. Go ahead and do them in that schools colors. Why not.

Can't you just wear a polo or a button up that's slightly yellow or black or whatever the hell color Missouri is?

Be neutral with team gear but yea, people that show up to a Bama vs. Auburn game with LSU gear on look fricking retarded.

Your idiocy knows no bounds. I clearly said I wouldn't be in the Presidential Suite for most of the game. I'll be outside where the temperature will be in the upper 50s...

Also you could get one of those pocket sized bluetooth speakers and the CBS sports app and announce to everyone in the suite the updates to the "real" game while there

So you would keep it on in an air conditioned suite? Have you considered taking it off if you went inside?

Baw, he is hooking you up in the fricking suite. Be gracious and wear neutral colors. Gawd, you suck at this.

No, but that isn't what pissed him off.

Well of course I would but that isn't what pissed him off. He got pissed off that I'd even CONSIDER wearing Mizzou gear to this game. Begged me not to. Told me "don't be that guy."

What's odd is that he's not even a fan of this school. He just has to support this school because he works for this school. He's a Notre Dame fan first and Mizzou fan second.

But since he was hired at this school he's went balls to the wall crazy about giving the appearance that he LOVES this school. He acts like he's this school's biggest fan. And he knows full well that the entire family HATES this school so to troll everyone he purchases them this school's team gear at Christmas and then acts pissy if we refuse to wear it.

That's the kind of person I'm dealing with, fellas.
