didn't watch the game. Don't know what the situation was.

Saw a slow motion replay of the hit on speedy. The bama player clearly led with and hit him with the crown of his helmet.

Was a clear example of targeting to me.

But apparently appearing in a rule case not familiar to the SEC officials in Birmingham:

"1) No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below). When in question, it is a foul."
