Thanks. Holy hell the umpires were one for the books at FSU
Yes, I know I sound like a total LSU fan
It was not just LSU. Looked like bad calls for several SEC teams that could have advanced. Especially out west.

First games June 1st
Bracket 1:
Florida @ TAMU - 12:00est ESPN
UCLA @ LSU - 2:30est ESPN
Bracket 2:
Oregon @ Washington 7:00est ESPN2
Oklahoma @ Baylor - 9:30est ESPN2
Wish they would've divided up the SEC, not the PAC. Oh well.

What a screw job for the SEC.

I thought it was cool that Florida, LSU and Texas A&M all lost the first game and came back to win the Super Regional.
And I can't stand Oklahoma and the home field advantage they get at the WCWS.

So I assume that it bothers you when Nebraska makes the CWS?
LSU makes the Sugar Bowl etc?

WCWS flip brackets for the loser of quarterfinals

But at least 1 will be down 1 after just the first game played and pretty much eliminated at that point.

Only 1 team can win regardless.. and there's still a chance for an sec final as i mentioned, So I don't get your grief.

I wouldn't call it a grief per se, but just sucks that we don't get to have a team in each winners bracket + 1 from elimination bracket. That's all. PAC does, we don't.

This has happened in baseball and softball with the PAC and it just pisses me off
I agree with IT_Dawg in that a SEC team should be on both side of the bracket from the start. SEC teams not only played each other in the regular session but in the SEC tourney as well. So Alabama should not meet Florida or Tennessee meet A&M till late in the NCAA. If the protect the west coast till late in the tourney, they should accord the same to the south.
NCA sets it up so the SEC eliminates each other early and this just seems wrong. You do not see the NCAA pair UNC and Duke early in March Madness do you?

That is a downside of ranking 1-16 instead of doing 1-8 and making other(regional) choices for 9-16.

true. its funny cause in baseball where its all about geography, i used to see west coast fans always complain when their super regionals get paired together cause it limits them to only one team in omaha. of course they ignore the fact that they havent been worthy of more than 2-3 hosts lately

The opportunity was there. UK didn't perform on the road in the first game at Oregon and have a strike zone gripe in game 2, while Auburn pooped the bed at home against OU. Ole Miss was two close games away from making the entire left side of the bracket SEC teams.
The PAC also ended up with a conference match-up in Supers this year.
