Every toast I did on Dickson tonight was to the Arkansas track team. My party was all 'Not the track team AGAIN!' and I said frick you, we just won the national championship.

So it's pretty clear that Arkansas must enter twice as many kids into these meets than any other school. I see high schools do this all of the time with wrestling, cross country, and track and field. Bring 100 athletes to these meets while the rest of the schools combined only bring 50.

I don't think you understand how it works. You have to qualify in order to run at the meet. You can't just bring whomever you want like high school.

would have been a decent flame but to get in the national meets you have to qualify, Arkansas had the most qualifiers yes, but that's a testament to our recruiting, depth, and management of scholarships, and most importatnly the kid's desire to be a part of a dynasty program so they make sacrifices they wouldn't have to make if they went to another program that offered more financially.

If only quality of depth on a team had no impact right? I guess you don't understand that depth is one of the key factors in any great team.

The athletes must qualify by being in the top 16 in the nation after adjusting performances for track type/altitude/etc.

Arkansas just simply had more and better athletes at the meet.

You can win conference with sheer depth. Nationals are a different animal though. You must have many outstanding individual performers.

I don't think many Aggies realized there is indoor season and outdoor season or the relative success of all the programs.

Or they didn't care. The latter explanation is likely seeing how many here (of any fanbase) vehemently deny giving any fricks about T&F.

When there is no hope for your team, not many fricks are given.

Mostly because everyone else will laugh at both of you for arguing about track.

Arkansas would trade every single Track Champiknship* for one single BCS win. Further they rank a BCS win below a SEC Football Championship**

* does not include cross country.
** they do not even bother to place BCS Crystal Trophy in the mix...they know it is not reachable.

Hey Crow, has your school won any national championships today?

Nope, didn't think so. So feel free to go ahead and shut the frick up. Thanks!
