This thread is hilarious. Buncha Cowpatties on here having orgasms over wishful thinking. 1) OM's women's basketball crisis WAS over long ago. Bjork fired that coach, hired a new one, proposed his own sanctions which the NCAA accepted. That case roamed the earth with the dinosaurs. Saunders is also ancient history. Because Ole Miss dismissed him under Nutt, the NCAA followed him to ULL where the investigation has taken place. Tunsil got lazy about turning in some loaners to car dealers while his car was being repaired. His penance was that he was held out for seven games THIS year. Over and done with. He's on to the NFL.

this response is hilarious. it's like reading auburn/scam all over again.

It can happen. See DuBose, Mike. University of Alabama 1997-2000.

It certainly can happen. This investigation is the result of another. It started well within any limitations.

It's like they think this has all gone away

Ole Miss under investigation

Tunsil can return, NCAA continues investigation

The facts are what they are.

We don't think it's gone away. We just don't think anything serious will come of it. By all means, keep fantasizing about it. It's like dreaming about what will happen if you win the powerball. I just wouldn't expect much to come out of it.

All sec schools cheat and pay players. Even vandy. Some are just better at it than others. Some are just stupid

Maybe you are right. But when your investigation turns up Saunders and that leads to others.... It's not exactly a small investigation.

ULL states the evidence in their Response... Ole Miss named

quote:

Ole Miss’ enforcement staff and legal counsel conducted interviews on Dec. 16, 2013, with Saunders and an athlete he had previously been recruiting to Ole Miss.

Per the CL..

quote:

Through the course of those interviews, it became apparent that the enforcement staff was testing information that suggested Saunders knew of, or had been involved in, NCAA rules violations of an academic nature while employed at Ole Miss,

quote:

“a pattern of violations … trailed Saunders to” the school and that “it is evident that improper activity occurred in advance of (Louisiana-Lafayette) hiring” Saunders,

I hope nothing comes out of this at all. Ole Miss seems to be running a good program with a good coach with some moral fiber. Yes they are recruiting very well but I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt rather than say they are only recruiting and winning because they cheat.

Show some proof or STFU about Ole Miss.

Holy crap, someone's been drinking the spiked kool-aid.

Y'all do realize this has nothing to do with current staff and players right? Do you really believe Connor comes back if there is any chance of him being involved? Keep holding onto hope because beating us on the actual field isn't working

That was almost the same statement made by Bob Hitch, Athletic Director, for SMU right before they got the Death Penalty

Yes it does. The NCAA trailed Saunders to ULL via their investigation of Ole Miss.

Old staff gone does not = we get away with it. It has never worked like that

Connor has not healed up properly and that would have hurt him in the combines. Second, I've not heard of him being involved.

As for the tears, here's some poignant memories of Dak's last game in Starkville.

At least if we get the death penalty we'll have some fond memories of your best quarterback ever.

Here's what UM fans are missing. The finding will not be against Ole Miss... it will name Ole Miss, and then the NCAA will go from there. Your NOA.....

Here's ULL

quote:

Certainly, had (Louisiana-Lafayette) known of Saunders’ prior activity involving test fraud, it would not have hired him in January 2011

Another thing to remember is that the NCAA found something at Ole Miss involving that taking place at Ole Miss.

MButterfly --

Everyone imagine for a moment what he could have done with all this time he's spent following the ULL investigation:

1) He could have gotten laid
2) He could have gotten day drunk (see me today)
3) He could have sold all of his Final Fantasy games on EBay for a small profit
4) He could have gone to see Star Wars twice and The Revenant today
5) He could have gotten laid again

Instead, he's researched an ongoing investigation of a Sunbelt team.

You poor bastard.

OM is likely to face sanctions for academic fraud, that is, unless they can finagle their way out using old fashioned methods. Which is highly risky, and they aren't that dumb.

Anything else they've done is probably impossible to prove, so I don't think they get hit real hard. But their recruiting will start becoming more regular, whenever it is this comes out.
