I'm still wondering how this guy helped us during those years.

Does anyone here really want the NCAA to look too much into academic fraud? Besides Vandy, I highly doubt any other SEC school is innocent.

The better question is whether anyone really thinks the NCAA is more than a pathetic little gelding these days.

Even if they found something, they have no grounds for any penalties against Ole Miss. None of those coaches are here. We have a new AD and new Chancellor. All of the players are different. It would be like punishing Alabama for all the cheating that Bear did.

I do not but I wish they were. Burn them (not specifically ole miss) to the ground if they're caught cheating big time- I'd have no problem with it.

Saunders was briefly at Ole Miss under Nutt, then dismissed. Gone before Freeze came. Most of the accusations against him occurred while he was at ULL. Nothing to see here, except that ULL has self-imposed penalties. That's their problem. Saunders was given the axe early on at Ole Miss back when...the rest of this is just...

Your program is just dirtier than a meth whore's butthole.

It's not our program, it's our boosters. You'd be tired, too, if you went through seven years of Coach O and Nutt. We got dat old money and we finna spend it.

It's not just our boosters, though. It's errbody's. Some do it, some just want to do it, just nobody does it better than us. We stylin'.

New sheriffs in control. The Miami and Auburn cases embarrassed them. They made changes.

Look at the recent ruling SMU

The NCAA has sanctioned the SMU men's basketball program for multiple violations, including academic fraud and unethical conduct, a Division I Committee on Infractions panel has ruled.

- no post season
- coach suspended for 9 games
- 9 scholarships over 3 years. Do the math to see how that translate in football terms!

Really? So ole miss lawyers were at all of these meeting for moral support of the NCAA?

Come on.... you know better.

If we're doing anything that Bama, LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc.. aren't doing, than I agree that we should be hit hard with sanctions. But at the end of the day, the NCAA knows every major program is not exactly operating under the ethical guidelines so unless it is something major, they should let everyone operate under the same rules. The fact that we were handcuffed for years because of a racist stigma about the school or Cutcliffe and Nutt didn't care to recruit doesn't get mentioned. Our facilities are not Bama but they're not that far below anyone else. And at the end of the day, not every recruit wants to go sit behind all the other 5 stars at Bama or LSU. We are getting a bunch of good players who know they can come in and compete right away and play at an SEC program that has been ranked in the top 5 at some point 2 years in a row. Again, I'm not saying we're not doing anything wrong, but I don't think it's anything Bama, LSU, UT, etc are doing.

um, but that's what the NCAA does. The staff and personnel that suffers the punishment is generally not the staff that committed the infractions. Ask Alabama how they felt about firing Dubose, then going through an NCAA investigation, and being punished for stuff that went on during his tenure when he wasn't even there anymore
