This certainly appears to be true. Most seem to not really give a shite about the tree. Willing to sacrifice the tree to make fun of Bama. Too bad (for these Auburn fans) that most people will recognize this as the sick stunt of one person, not an entire fanbase or university.

No, you're missing the point. That tree was a part of the Auburn family. I remember when we rolled it back in 82.
He might as well have killed 20 students....
That tree was the heart of Auburn. Now we have no tree.
