Just curious to get everyone's opinion on the BCSCG. How do you feel the teams match up? Where do the advantages lie for each team? Score predictions?

QB,RB,WR,OL,DL,DB,S,etc..

I'm sorry I thought this was pretty simple, I was asking for everyone's opinion on the positional match-ups and where they felt each team had an edge.

You're expecting rational discussion here?

I guess if you aren't flaming and you are actually looking for true conversation regarding the game you aren't welcome??

It's too early for non-Gumps to worry about the game.

Figured there may be a few people around that had something rational to say. It would certainly be a nice break from all of the bashing and flaming.

LSU website and you don't think there's going to be bashing???

Don't take it seriously. You have to see that non-Bammers aren't going to give you much. Just look at the pure numbers of you guys, your threads and your level of delusion and arrogance.

I think we dominate Texas in every phase of the game. They have played two teams this year with a legitimate defense and they almost lost both games. They eked by Oklahoma without Sam Bradford and Nebraska embarassed their QB and exposed him as a joke against a real defense. Just for the record the Oklahoma and Nebraska D's are not in the same class as Alabama's in my opinion. The recievers for Texas could not get open on either of these two teams but we are to think they can against Alabama's defense? Not going to happen.

I don't see any way Alabama loses this game unless they are distracted by all of the other things going on. I just don't see Texas being able to hang with the Tide.

I predicted Alabama in a walk against Florida. Im predicting a massacre by Bama against Texas. Mack Brown is just as incompetent as Les, only this time Mack does not have Vince Young to bail him out. Bama in an arse-whipping.

If Bama plays like they did against Florida
45-6

If Bama plays like they did against Auburn
you'll still win, but by 10

Colt is incredibly accurate and seems to excel in short range (5-7 yrd) passes which doesnt leave a lot of time to get to him. This is the one area that concerns me the most about this game. If he is completing those its essentially like us running the ball and controlling the clock. Also while we have a very stout defensive front and Dareus may end up being Suh like, he isnt Suh and we do not have someone who causes mismatches like he does.

The pressure is going to have to either come from the LB's or off the edges with Javy which leaves an opening for screen passes and short crossing routes if they dont get there untouched.

All in all I think Bama matches up well with them but there are some things they could potentially exploit.

My thoughts, Bama has the D, and can make enough plays on O to beat Texas.

But Texas is a passing team, they are going to be looking at that Auburn game hard. Come out with a hurry up, spread offense, keep Bama's D off balanced. It all comes down to UT's O and Bama's D.

On the surface, I think Alabama matches up well with Texas and their one-man offense.

On second thought, Texas might be able to neutralize Bama's defense with the short passing game and no-huddle attack... similar to last year's Sugar Bowl.

Defensively, Will Muschamp will have his guys ready to play... McElroy's looked good of late, but UT's pass defense is pretty good.

UT is just too inconsistent for me -- offense plays well against TAMU while the defense struggles, then the opposite happens in the B12 title game... Alabama wins by 10... 23-13.
