Dobbs's eyebrows are gonna back Josh up. That's why he doesn't seem to have any -- they been training in the weight room.

I would probably look like a deer in headlights if 4 or 5 huge defensive line man were running at me unblocked as well.

This. The only things I saw in those gifs were the offensive lines ineptitude at protecting their quarterback.

I'm not saying Peterman isn't bad, because he is. really bad. But lofl at that gif as an example why Peterman sucks.

An offensive line that can't block?

The UF gif is from when we had an all-world Oline. That's what's so bad.

While Peterman isn't SEC caliber, it looks like the 3 examples you show have more to do with poor O-line play that inept QB play. Is the O-line transferring as well?

Then, why would they have a play where the o-line stays in their stance?

I know Auburn would do this for a screen play sometimes where the line would go after the defensive players would go past, but those TN linemen never broke their stance.

It was for encroachment, the o line would stay still. I think it's dumb as shite, and thankfully haven't seen it in awhile.

Peterman takes some of the nastiest hits you'll ever see because he never has a clue where the pressure is coming from or when it's coming.

Dobbs played behind the same OL and I've yet to see him get de-cleated like Peterman used to with regularity.

The kinda sad part about Peterman is he's actually got a very good arm and good mobility for a QB. I've heard some people that's watched practice say that his arm is better than Dobbs'. Peterman just has zero pocket presence and no confidence out there, either.

A fresh start may help him -- that Florida game was too much for him to come back from and he may be able to do better at a different school without that game haunting him every time he takes the field. I'd like to see him land at Duke and see if Cutcliffe could do anything for him or somewhere else where there's QB-whisperer.

Peterman has the talent, the arm, the mobility but as you say zero confidence and zero pocket presence. He melts when he's out there and doesn't seem to have any vision - how in the hell does his peripheral vision totally disappear in games? I'm not talking pocket presence or QB vision but just the simple peripheral vision all of us have just vanishes in games.

At any rate, I wish him tons of success. It would be nice to see him be able to get it together and finish his career on high note. He's a great kid by all accounts.

Well it may have been a false alarm. Rucker is saying that Peterman is enrolled in grad school and still a part of the program...
