A little something positive to discuss for a change: what are the most impressive victories your current HC has acheived over the course of his career? Obviously relatively new HCs like Smart at UGa or Odom at Mizzou don't have a lot of history, so we'll exclude any HC with fewer than 3 full seasons of experience as an HC. We'll further limit it to regular season games, so those teams with HCs who haven't ever coached a team in post-season play won't feel disadvantaged.

Here's Gus Malzahns top 5 regular season wins:

1. Alabama 2013 - legendary victory over #1 ranked defending BCS Champs
2. @ Texas A&M 2013 - first big win on the way to an SECC
3. @ Kansas State - first AU road win against a ranked OOC team in >15 years
4. Arkansas 2016 - record-setting blowout
5. Middle Tennessee 2012 - clinched Sun Belt championship with 45-0 rout

What about yours?

2. Oklahoma State 2009

Sumlin doesn't have a "Top 5".

1. 2014 Bama - probably biggest win in school history
2. 2015 Bama - beating Bama twice in a row isn't easy
3. 2013 LSU - had many defensive starters out with injury
4. 2012 State - to become bowl eligible
5. 2016 Sugar Bowl - anytime you win the Sugar Bowl it's a big win

Pretty sad when your HC hasn't enough premier wins at his current post and you have to go on back to a previous one.

Let's see, I have 118 to choose from, hmmm.....

That's why I said "career" wins - he had some pretty impressive wins at Houston, right?

You should have listed a couple of Springdale High school games.

for Saban you almost have to go back to his first few years because we've been favored in almost every game since.

The 2008 Georgia game stands out for me as a clear #1.

Other good ones:
Tennessee 2007
LSU 2012
LSU 2014
Auburn 2008
Auburn 2014

In hindsight:

1. Alabama 2012
2. Auburn 2014
3. Arkansas (pretty much any year)
4. UCLA 2016
5. Tennessee 2016

At the time (lol)
1. Alabama 2012
2. Tennessee 2016
3. South Carolina 2014
4. UCLA 2016
5. Auburn 2014

1) 2009 SEC championship vs Florida
2) 2009 BCS National Championship vs Texas
3) 2011 BCS National Championship vs LSU
4) 2015 CFP National Championship vs Clemson
5) 2012 BCS National Championship vs Notre Dame

EDIT for REGULAR Season games lol
1) any 5 games from the 2008 season. It laid the foundation for the Saban Era

ONE impressive win at Houston and that was at #5 Oklahoma State in 2009.

He never won a Conference Title at Houston either.

With Saban post season title games are pretty much regular so I let it slide.

And that's the OTHER reason I limited it to regular season games

What he's accomplished at Bama is simply unprecedented. The bastard
