Derrick Thomas was maybe the GOAT at Bama, and while not the worst teams, he never won an SEC title.

True enough DT never won a title but some of those Bama teams were pretty good. Others fair to middling. Wouldn't call any of them bad.

Excellent call. "Fast Freddie" was a folk hero when I was a kid.

Kevin Faulk played in the Dinardo Years.

Kevin Mawaie played in he Hallman years.

We should have had more Kevins in the 90s.

Shaud Williams led the SEC in rushing on a bad Bama team and had an epic interview with Bruno.
LINK

Dre Fulgham was also a damn good WR

Also Ronney Daniels. In '99 he was a 1000+ yd. receiver on a team that went 5-6. About 250 of it came in Sanford Stadium when UGA kept manning him up and he just torched them that night.

Emmitt Smith had 1600 yards and 21 touchdowns on the 89 team that finished with four 1-score losses and a blowout loss in the Freedom Bowl. In his 3 years, we went 6-6, 7-5, 7-5 and never beat AU, UGA, or FSU.

T. Mason (2012)

can't believe he got to 1002 yards during the season that never happened in AU football. the fact he broke 1k yards that year is a testament to his running ability.

No fair, he was at UGa for at least a decade

Great, extremely versatile player. Seems like he had some terrific games vs AU.

Abraham tops Carolina's list.

Robert Brooks on the '91 Gamecock team gets some love too.

Sterling for the '86 team that stumbled its way through mid-season and could not survive Todd's 22 INT's.

...and here they are together. admittedly Favre's two favorite WR's
