For Georgia, the first name that comes to mind is Hines Ward.
We had a .500 season and a losing season during his time here, but he did everything for those teams. Played receiver, running back and quarterback over his 4 years and only got to be part of one good season his senior year (10-2).
He graduated with the second most all-purpose yards of any player in Georgia history and threw FIFTY-NINE passes in the '95 Peach Bowl.

Wallace Gilberry. Played from 04-07 and finished with 60.5 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and 3 fumble recoveries. Before Jonathan Allen got 10+ sacks in '15, Gilberry was Saban's last defensive player that got double digit sacks in a season.

Jerious Norwood. Monstar RB, had a few good years in the NFL. Had him in the late Sherrill, early Croom years.
He did single handedly beat Florida one year.

Hines Ward.
Was always an admirer. Old school player who played football the right way. Blocked his arse off in an era of prima donna WRs who didn't want to get dirty.

Justin Smith come to mind immediately. He was at Mizzou around 2000, right before Pinkel started to turn the program around.

Derrick Thomas was maybe the GOAT at Bama, and while not the worst teams, he never won an SEC title.

Freddie Smith, LB, 1976-1979 at Auburn.
Made 23 tackles, 19 of them unassisted, in his first game as a true freshman.
Auburn's all-time leading tackler with 528 tackles or 13.2 tackles a game.

Jarret Johnson, DL, 1999-2002. Left Bama as the second all time leader in sacks.
He held the rope.

Brodie Croyle for Bama
Kenneth Darby was pretty good player on some bad teams though calling him great might be a stretch.

Your program was bottom of the barrel for just as long as its been good. Surely you can name a player that played at LSU between 1989 and 1999. That was 11 years of horrific football on the bayou.
Overall Winning Percentage 1989-1999:
82.2%- Tennessee
79.9%- Florida
75.7%- Texas A&M
68.9%- Alabama
65.7%- Auburn
61.3%- Georgia
59.1%- Ole Miss
54.8%- Mississippi St.
52.0%- Arkansas
47.2%- LSU
41.0%- South Carolina
40.3%- Kentucky
37.5%- Missouri
28.9%- Vanderbilt
Congrats! You were THE worst team among the current Western division programs for more than a decade. Surely you can name a player from that time period.
