That is what I was trying to say my first post and not dissing LSU like a few have said. I think your fans would be more upset with 2 losses than any other team other than Bama.

UT was predicted to win it last year, predictions don't mean shite. I just feel y'all won't be as good.

No they weren't, Georgia was the favorite last year.

Didn't you know Bama doesn't have to win the West to get to the title?

The favorite still didn't win. I think UT takes it this year and we will come in second. I think UF will have a year like us last year.

I don't see how anyone can argue with this. Many people, both LSU fans and talking heads, are picking LSU to win the West.

If they don't, it's a bust IMO. This is coming from someone who's picking them to finish 2nd in the West.

But everyone on the SECR says LSU is going to lose to Ole Miss, Alabama, and Arkansas no matter what.

How could LSU bust if they're supposed to lose 3 games?

Busts:
Tennessee
Ole Miss
(Honorable mention: LSU, when Miles throws away the West in the season with the best chance to win it)

Surprises:
Florida

Tennessee could potentially be a bust with as much hype is surrounding the program. Butch has yet to prove himself as a HC who can push his team to the next level. While he did barely lose to two playoff teams, he also lost to Florida and Arkansas when UT had the game wrapped up.

Yeah, that insurmountable 1st quarter lead. We all thought it was over when the Vols ran back the opening kickoff. arkansas controlled that game completely for 50 minutes. Tennessee was clearly beaten

For real though... to anyone who thinks a 14 point lead with 3 1/2 quarters left in the game constitutes having "wrapped up" the game, especially in the SEC... idk what to tell ya.

My bad. I thought that was a game Tennessee blew. Didn't get to see the game and remember watching ESPN talk about it.

I can see Arkansas. But Kentucky is going 4-8. They're gonna get 50 Bombed by Tennessee again.

You could say scorewise we "blew" it but Arky legitimately outplayed us for 3/4 of that game. Only games I think we "blew" per se are OU and UF. We were the better team for 3/4 of both games, but not the quarter when it mattered most.

Stuff can change real quick in football... for example, with 1:30 left in the 2nd quarter, UGA lead UT 24-3. Slightly over 15 min of game time later, UT scored the go ahead TD to make it 31-24. Sometimes one bad stretch is all it takes.

UF - will win the East. Still has a great defense and will have a better OL and QB

LSU is #1 team in ESPN power rankings. If your #1 you have the greatest bust potential. Calm down.

This. LSU is the obvious and correct choice, simmer down Tiger fans.

Surprise Team = Arkansas. I like what they have going on, stout D and a good play caller in Enos. Will be better than expected. Also throw Aggie in there, a second year under Chavis and plenty of tools on O, just need people to block for them and a capable RB. I think Noel was a decent hire, and is smart enough not to emulate his predecessor.

Bust = Vols. So much hype, and I have no special hate for the Vols, but they will likely lose to Florida and another team they shouldn't, costing them the East. I don't wish this on my orange brothers, but Butch gonna Butch.

UT and Ole Miss will bust, Mizzou and Arky will be the biggest surprises. I don't think either will take their division but both will win 9-10 games.

Quite possibly, but I wanted to pick one team from each division and there really isn't a good option from the east. Don't see them going better than 6-6.

Auburn will probably do really well for the sole reason that lots of people are counting them out. Then everyone will rate them highly for 2017 and they'll suck again.
