Typical. An Aggie gets praise from other fans and LSU fans come running to knock it down as soon as possible.

But we can't see everything because we don't have all the information. Its the basic "black swan" problem. Deduction vs. induction. Karl Popper is rolling in his grave.

He failed pretty miserably against LSU, which was the last game of the season. Again, Anthony Jennings, who is not known for running, ran for 100+ yards and almost all of them are attributable to Myles Garrett.

If we had an SEC draft and I had to draft one player first overall I'd go with VH3. But Garrett would def by in my top 3-4

You have to be a special kind of stubborn to not admit that Myles Garrett is pretty good at this whole football thing.

OHHHH. so this only work when talking about A&M in a negative light.

Got it.

For once I'll agree with an Aggie. We knew what Garret was last year...beast future first rounder...and he showed it again last night. To compare him to Kenny Hill is absurd. Looks like in game one they were more stable on defense and I wasn't expecting that.

I hope y'all lose every game the rest of the way, but I was impressed with what I saw in game one.

I fully believe Garrett will be the best DE, not just in the league, but in the country. He's got too much raw talent to not be.

But he's still got room to develop. When the guy can stuff the run, contain the edges, AND rush the passer against elite teams (i.e., the best competition out there), THEN I will call him the best player in the league.

And he will deserve it.

who do you think stuffed the run at the goaline in the 4th quarter last night? Who was containing auburns option last year? Who blew up his assignment against Arkansas in the deciding 4th down play to force the runner into traffic? Sure he could get better, but it's not a deficiency

He hasn't done any of this consistently and you know it. You're being disingenuous.

Its really not a terrible thing to say that a sophomore DE has room to develop. From your (over)reaction, you'd think I called Donald Trump poor.

he did it multiple times last night and numerous times throughout the year.

how is this an overreaction? You said something I don't agree with and I'm giving you my opinion. I've stated multiple times that is the weakest part of his game, I just disagree that it is am actual deficiency right now

Myles Garrett is great, but you still have VHIII & Cameron Sutton who I also think are 1st round talents.

"Multiple times" does not define consistency. "All the time" does.

I dared suggest that there are things Myles Garrett can improve on and you're acting like I am questioning the existence of the very ground we walk on.

They ran right at him several times for good gains. Chasing someone down from the backside while waiting for blocks is not containment. I agree that he is great but to say he is the best DE in the SEC, after week one, is retarded. He is a great pass rusher without a doubt. Let's pump the brakes and see how he performs against SEC tackles. Hopefully he stays healthy and has a great season except against LSU of course.

Do you watch football?
NOTHING happens all the time.

You want him to be overrated, we get it but it isn't so.
