.....as of right now IMO. 3 sacks last night (should have been 4 plus a forced fumble).

He's certainly in the conversation. I want to see how he does against SEC competition before crowning him though.

Still has to stay healthy and produce all season, but he sure does look better with both arms.

He's fun as hell to watch.

He's great when he can pin his ears back and rush the passer. But that's only one aspect of playing DE.

Wait until he plays a good running team, tho. I'm not saying he didn't look good. I'm just saying that other aspects of his game haven't been tested at this point--and those aspects were obvious weaknesses for him last year.

Another weakness is his lack of discipline against the read-option. LSU torched him with that last year. Anthony Jennings ran for 100+ yards mostly because Garrett lost contain on every play.

So ... before we crown him the "best player in the SEC," I'd like to see him perform at elite levels against various types of teams. That's all.

Best performance of any SEC player in the first game. He'll show if he's the best player in the SEC when he plays SEC competition.

Not really, this has been a major weakness for him.

Between Myles and Hargreaves we are talking Brinks truck kind of rich very soon. Both are probably going to be top 3-5 pics...Hargreaves this year unfortunately.

Everyone on this board needs to keep thinking this is the same team as last year.

Wishful thinking will set you fricks up for a LONG season. hahaha

Think with your eyeballs.

What? Just because he isn't as dominant it doest mean he doesnt have it. He did so last year against auburn. He did so last night as well
