And because myles wasn't really good against the run as a freshman, it means he isn't this year even though he has been a force against the run this year

He has 11 tackles, 3 sacks, 0 FF in 4 games and there's an article about a heisman campaign. A little over the top. It's great and all he generates pressure, but talking about a heisman campaign 1/3 of the way through a season for a DE with 11 tackles, 3 sacks and no forced turnovers is a tad overboard.

His numbers don't tell the full story. Every offense we've played has set up their entire scheme around avoiding Garrett.

Teams scheme to stop, control or neutralize others teams' best players, this isn't a completely unique thing to Garrett.
You think teams arent doing this to Barnett or Key either? You think they have QBs each game against them saying "Hey you'll have all day to throw, we'll even roll you out to their side to throw the football"

Boy, nothing sparks up agsession more than a good ole' Myles Garrett thread.

Ok? Just because it's ridiculous to discuss him as a heisman, which it is 100%, that doesnt mean he isn't the best defensive player in the SEC and will probably be the first SEC player drafted

Still a stretch to say he's the best given the production. Again, "pressures" are great, but it isn't finishing plays. And FYI, Key has generated the same number of pressures as Garrett has this year, except also has twice as many sacks and 3 FF.

Just because his numbers are lacking doesn't mean he isn't causing the other teams offense to make crucial mistakes. That's all I'm saying. Numbers aren't everything.

Still a stretch to say he's the best

Key is a pass rush specialist who won't be able to play with his hand in the dirt at the next level. He's like 235 lbs. Garrett is 6 5 260 and not a limited situational player. But keep being delusional

Who said anything about the next level?

He is a situational player. That's fine, he's good at it, but an every down player like Garrett is the more valuable one every time and the people who evaluate players for a living agree

Numbers tell a lot about a player. He has solid numbers, but talking up a heisman campaign about a guy who has 11 tackles, 6 Pressures, 3 sacks 0 turnovers is pretty ridiculous. It's not even close to best in his own conference. Again, a DE/OLB in his conference has 21 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 6 Pressures, and 3 FF. Those are substantially better.

Key is 6'6" and has the frame to add more weight over time for the league.

He has one offseason left unless he's a 4 year player

He's an incredible player. Give me Barnett though.

Key is 6'6 and no one ever gains weight at the next level. You talk about delusional

Sounds like a developmental prospect
