I agree Garrett will have to work on a lot not to be a bust

He'll be the best defensive player in the NFL when he finishes with 7 sacks on the season. Just wait.

Key couldn't start over Daeshon Hall. Get over yourself.

Garret's also faced much stiffer competition this year than Keys.

LSUs had a cupcake walk so far with a lot of tough games in front of them. Keys piling up stats vs cupcakes is worthless to anyone but Lolsu

He would be a nice third down pass rusher in our rotation, obviously can't hold up va the run with his frame. Prob why they've lost to two power rushing teams in Wisconsin and Auburn

Too bad Arden Key is dominating in number of sacks.

Key is just beginning. Is Miles Garrett the one LSU pushed all around the field at the end of last year? He is not very stout on the run right...

let it go brah, Key doesn't touch Garret's jock

Key is the best second year pass rusher in the SEC in many years. Definitely better than Garrett was last year. As far as this year? We just need to let it play out. But I believe Key will be the best pass rusher in the NFL in five years. He has a very unusual combination of build and quick-twitch muscles.

Myles Garrett - 11 tackles
Arden Key - 21 tackles

Interesting who seems to be making plays in the run game and who isn't.

"We swear he's great, he just scares everybody away from him which is why he doesnt have a lot of tackles"

Can't wait to hear the next excuse

So websites like PFF and opinions from scouts don't matter at all? You're right, we should just trust the famously intelligent LSU fanbase to evaluate talent

Nobody is saying he isn't talented, calm down. Just saying he's getting quite overhyped for something like a heisman campaign. He doesnt even have close to the numbers to support that. If he was some completely unstoppable force and a heisman candidate, he would, you know, have something like 6-7 sacks and some turnovers forced at this point to help drive a heisman campaign for a DE.

The hype may be a little out of control as scouts head into their road schedule, but the talk about Garrett makes him sound like a cross between Jadeveon Clowney and Von Miller. Will he be a Clowney or Khalil Mack type, or is he Randy Gregory—a smallish pass-rusher who can't put on NFL weight—waiting to happen? Garrett's pass-rushing production has been very good, but he's beaten up on lesser competition at times while struggling to perform against the top dogs in the SEC. With his athleticism and production, though, Garrett is another double-digit-sack season away from being a very early draft pick.

he may be the one that can't put on weight

Some of you would gain some usable sports info by Googling Daeshon Hall and 2017 NFL Draft.
He'll be a wealthy man soon.
