We will run it! Thank you Gurley and the load of talent behind him!

We will stop the run! Thank you scary front seven!

But we may have a big hole in our proverbial "bucket of win" any time that ball is tossed over our heads.

I worry until proven unwarranted.

BTW I didn't catch the part where there was a National Title proclamation by a UGA fan. All I saw was positive outlook for this year. Something all Georgia fans have to have or depression sets in and we die!

Here's to when real football begins my fellow football brothers!

ETA - In all seriousness, I really doubt that this is the case.

Considering Cox's only other offer was from Duke (way before they were making the ACCCG and Peach Bowl), while FSU offered Mason, I'd say you're probably right.

You did fine. I wish more of us would do it - the board would be a better place for it IMHO.

Seriously!? Joe Cox was an anomaly for CMR/CMB coached QBs. In the last 14 years we have had one average QB and now everyone thinks our backups are "Joe Cox". I love that everyone thinks this though, because Mason is going to surprise some folks when he wears those defenses down trying to keep up with our offense.

In 14 years of QBs we've had:

David Greene - Finished as the winningest quarterback in NCAA Division I history with 42 wins in four years and led the Dawgs to a 2002 Sugar Bowl win.

D.J. Shockley - Spent all but one year as David Greene's backup, but in his one starting year (2005) he quarterbacked UGA to the 2006 Sugar Bowl.

Matthew Stafford - The No. 1 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft led UGA to a rout of Hawaii in the 2008 Sugar Bowl.

Aaron Murray - Finished with SEC career records for completions (921), passing yards (13,166), TD passes (121) and total offense (13,562), and is second in the SEC in career pass attempts (1,478) ... Became the first QB in SEC history to throw for 3,000+ yards in four straight seasons ...

You can keep this gem and cry about it later!

I like it when someone tells another person that they're wrong in one little vague and cute sentence, and then leaves it at that and doesn't explain why the other person is wrong.

The onus is on you to explain why you're right, not the other way. We lost 2 games in 04, and neither had anything to do with people looking to the NFL. Against UT our defense did what it needed. Greene played poorly, was he looking to the NFL? Our leading rusher had less than 70 yards, was Danny Ware saving himself for the NFL? We also had a touchdown on a playfake that missed the endzone by inches. We simply didn't win.

Auburn we just ran into a buzzsaw against a team that was honestly just better than us. That was also probably one of the 3 or 4 best teams in AU school history that would have a plethora of folks go on to have nice little NFL careers.

So please, you tell me, what games did we lose because our players were looking to the NFL?

So I'm looking at these particular years and I'm remembering...

1991 - lost to Alabama
1992 - Alabama wins NC
2000 - lost to Auburn
2004 - lost to Auburn
2008 - lost to Alabama
2012 - lost to Alabama

...and I think I see the problem UGA fans.

You border the state of Alabama.

The End.

There are way too many cute little GIFs on this board. There should be a moratorium on cute little GIFs. Cute little GIFs kill the overall quality and emotional intelligence of message boards.

Why would someone brag about not reading something that was actually more than 2 or 3 sentences long? Why is that something to be proud of? While using an annoying-arse GIF to do so.

Question- Do GA fans wait until the actual season begins to fail to come up with the excuses or do you start compiling the list now, to save time.

I love watching the pain as the hopes of GA national relevance dies a slow death, every year.

MSU= SEC West preseason Champ
GA= SEC East/Nat'l preseason Champ

It was impossible to predict our injury situation last year, so I'll go with the former.

You've had a couple of flashes in the pan type season. No sustained success. You're still one season removed from 3-9.

Yea, he never made any prediction about a national title or anything like that. It just says he feels good about the season. I mean hell, it's not like he was unrealistic in his prediction.

He said he doesn't feel good about the USCe game and we shouldn't. That's going to be an extremely tough game to win in WBS. Why I don't think we'll whip Auburn like I think he does, I think we win. Why wouldn't I think that? We've had their number the last 8 yrs. They won on a fluke tipped pass last year. I feel good about that game.

As you should I think your season revolves around the maturation of Hutson Mason. UGA has a plethora of weapons on offense and what should be a much improved defense. I don't see anyone beating UGA in the East this year.

I think SC can, but I agree, and do think UGA will be a damn good team.
