Bama gives up over 4 ypc on first down runs.

That is an interesting stat, but Alabama will be selling out on the run on first downs against Auburn's run-first type offense. If Auburn averages 4ypc on first down, then I will be impressed.

It is at Home and that is a huge advantage in the SEC (See LSU for an clear example of thie).

Except that Alabama hasn't lost an away game in three years.

Yeah. Auburn has more INT's, More YPA running, give up half as much pressure on our QB, gets pressure twice as much, has more sacks, can actually kick the ball out of the endzone on KOs and kick the ball high enough to get there and stop the opponent for about half what they gain on Bama returning punts. All against a harder schedule. That's better.

Bama will win because every single player in the starting 22 is better than auburn's 22. There is literally not one single position in which auburn
fields a better player. That, my friends, is what's known as a mismatch.

Meh. I'd give them center maybe. That Dismukes kid is good.

Which is exactly why I believe Malzahn will start out pass heavy.

Dude, your reason is that you are an Auburn man - plain and simple.

I'll take talent any day over what Gus throws out there. Gus' offensive style is based on creating mismatches using misdirection and motion to force defensive misalignment. this can be shut down with defensive discipline which I think Saban and Smart do a pretty good job teaching.

Auburn has had more sacks given up and more tackles for losses given up than Bama.

kick the ball out of the endzone

Definitely got the advantage on kickoffs.

Auburn has had to punt 41 times, Bama only 33. I'll take scoring vs worrying about punt return yardage anytime.

More YPA running

Except against BCS AQ Teams. Bama has an advantage here 5.94 to 5.75. When you calculate against Conference teams, Bama has an even more sizable advantage with 6.41 to Auburn's 5.66.

As run heavy as Auburn is, they only average 37 more yards on the ground against SEC competition than Bama does. That's on 352 attempts, versus 270 for Bama.

Legit threat against Bama's secondary.

Yea, but if Alabama takes him away, we will need the other role players to catch the ball. They have gotten more consistent as the season has gone on, but they still show their youth.

We might also see some of Jeremy Johnson at quarterback.

That's why Auburn is 30th in the nation in points per game allowed.

I will tell you guys right now, Gus will have Nick throwing it around. I expect 4 deep balls to Coates alone and at least 1 to result in a long TD.

It has been said over and over, but AU runs so much because no one has stoppped AU's run game since mid September.

So the question you have to ask yourself is does Gus think AU can line up and run over bama? The answer is no. The result is Nick will throw 20+ times and there will be multiple deep balls to Coates and may 1 or 2 to Lewis. I really think Coates could certainly go over 100 yards receiving as he will get his chances.

Also, two keys to the game.

Number 1 and most important is AU's D stopping bama's run or at least containing it.

Number 2 is whether bama can stop AU's run WITHOUT loading the box. If bama has to load the box to stop AU's run, I really think Nick will frick bama checking out of runs into pass plays.

The question I have to ask is "Does TnM EVER know what hell he's talking about?"

I have to admire you for your tenacity, though. It doesn't matter how much of an utter idiot you make of yourself, you keep coming back.

Auburn's kicker and punter are better than Alabama's.

lulz...tasty bait. Bama's #3 ranked punter kicking to Auburn's #25 ranked returner, and Auburn's #35 ranked punter kicking to Bama's #9 ranked returner. Bama's FG pct. is higher, with a longer longest kick, and a 100% pat pct. compared to two misses by Auburn. Bama with 3 TDs to Auburn's one.
