Through 3 games.
Looks pretty damn good to me
ETA: I actually got the stats wrong. He has more yard than I originally gave him credit for

Mett is, what, the 4th best QB in the SEC? And I'm being generous. The drop off from the Top 3 is Grand Canyon deep.

#1 pro style QB in the SEC

It's amazing what a competent coordinator/play-caller and healthy O-line can do..right?

I think LSU 2013 is the greatest of all time - better than 2011. If they only had a few players to give snappy nicknames too they'd be in Utopia.

Bama-Killer would be a good one for Mettenberger.
Posted on 9/16/13 at 3:10 pm to Gcockboi
Plausible. But I think 4 other teams have just as good a chance. A&M and SC are already in a little trouble with division losses, though. But I think that come late November we could have Bama, A&M, LSU, UGA, and SC all with one SEC loss. A 3-way in the West, and UGA with the tiebreaker in the East. We thought 2011 was the most top-heavy this league has even been, but 2013 could be even better.

We need one of those Heisman-candidate cornerbacks..thanks a lot decline..

I know. Mettenberger will win the Heisman. LSU will win the National Championship.
This is what you told us last year at this time.

Mett is certainly better than last year in terms of confidence and poise. The fact is, these gumps and aggies are correct in that we have yet to be tested. There are issues on the defense and I'm not certain Mett wouldn't have a few picks with some of the balls he's thrown had those 3 opponents been SEC. Certainly a step up this weekend and a huge test with UGA (who I think wins the SEC this year). Dunno, we'll see about LSU, but we're all really happy to see some resemblance of an offense this year.

I'll withhold judgment until they play someone worth a damn.
