If everything went according to plan every game, there'd be no reason to play the game.

Defensive Teams like LSU and Bama can have their Offense stopped/slowed in the 1st Qtr and sometimes the 1st Half.

Half-time is short.

By the 3rd Qtr., stamina and the depth chart takeover. If equal or greater talent is not coming off the bench, you're in trouble against power running teams with stout defenses.

LSU success is obvious and simple. A stable full of horses to run with, a couple receivers with big play ability and a defensive depth chart as deep as the day is long.

If that's not working special teams is an earshot away with the ability to break something wide open in the blink of an eye.

UGA had a great plan and it worked. Chavis made the adjustments on defense to keep us in the game while the Offense figured out what to do on their end.

this, by mid 2nd quarter LSU was starting to flex it's defensive muscle.

Your D had ZERO to do with the inability of UGA's receivers to catch an easy pass. Sometimes no one from your defense was any anywhere near the ball. They just had really really bad hands.
We had plenty of micues ourselves. So if we'd like to play the what if game it may have gotte out of hand much earlier.

^This. UGA's offense had one (1) yard of offense in the second quarter.

Well, unless you're Alabama, then it's 4 quarters and an overtime...

...and then they claim THAT isn't even enough.

Which is why I have repeatedly and clearly stated throughout this entire thread that the better team won, as they should have.

your fans were loud at the game. I was nervous in the first half.

It was a great atmosphere and a great gameplan to start. But like I said once LSU got the momentum and took the lead, I think everyone in the building including our players knew it was basically over. We don't have near the talent and depth, so I thought it it was a 1 or 2 score game in the 4th adrenaline and crowd might could carry us through. But once it started slipping it basically took the wind out of everyone's sails and that was all she wrote.

crowd was great and initial gameplan was great. but then bobo remembered his MO and how there isn't a lead in this world he wouldn't sit on

good game dude. maybe next year me, you, and DGD can all grab a pregame beer before the game. Should be the exact same teams in the SEC championship game next year.

Bobo did call some dumb stuff but he doesn't get near enough credit. It's not his fault we dropped 2 touchdowns in the first quarter. If it's 21-0 then he looks like a genius. It's also not his fault Crowell is a china doll and Samuel was out. We went into the game with the midget and a primadonna, unproven dude who quit the team a month ago and won't quit crying on twitter.

But who knows what would have happened if it was 21-0 instead of 10-0?

Pretty sure it would have been 42-21 at the end. The Tigahs just don't panic when behind, & UGA would have still run out of emotion in the 2nd half when the LSU defense player rotation impact set in.

Sure thing. I like meeting new people from this board and putting a face with a name. Also, if there's beer involved I'll pretty much be willing to do anything, so that sounds like a plan to me.

It is literally impossible to say that. There is no telling what the course of the game would've been because both teams' playcalling would likely be drastically different. It's not a guarantee the points you scored on the plays you scored them on would have happened exactly like they did, in fact it is highly, highly unlikely.

WG_Dawg,

Here is the truth:

Your team really won the game. Here's how:

All you have to do is use your inner Bama logic. Yes, you dominated the game. You clearly were the better team.

You ran more plays. You had more yards. You dominated time of possession. Less penalties.

With this in mind, you don't get a rematch though. You aren't that special.

But, sleep well knowing you were the better team.

Reminds me of the Iron Bowl in 2010, Alabama missed out on opportunities to be up 42-0. Fumbles, dropped TD passes, came back to haunt us. You have to put a good team away, and LSU is a great team who will make you pay.

LSU is the most opportunistic team ever. Their offense is not overly impressive but is extraordinarily efficient in the red zone. Defense and special teams responsible for 1/3 of LSU points.

You sure did. Anyone giving you a hard time on here is a jackass.

One thing puzzled me. Georgia's D collapsed at the start of the second half. I was half expecting them to give way in the fourth period, but I found it odd that it came after the halftime rest.
