Likewise can Ole Miss run the ball when they have a lead and need to put a game away? Every team still has their flaws. Still have a lot of football to play and i expect lsu will throw the ball more and probably be good at it or good enough at it, but the beauty of a dominant run game is it is less likely to go in a slump unlike a pass offense that relies on timing.

If I were miles, I'd let Harris throw a lot the coming weeks. Make sure he's comfortable throwing by the time you go to Tuscaloosa.

I'd also get guice and Williams more carries. LF needs to be fresh as can be expected headed down the stretch. I wouldn't overwork him against teams that have no shot at beating you

If Ole Miss scores on LSU in 3 plays, and we score on OM in 13 plays its still 7-7 (tied). Except the OM defense will be more gassed by the 4th. I like our formula better.

That being said OM is the scariest team in the West from where I'm sitting. Y'all have a great team that believes in it's approach. BUT, so does LSU.

Should be fun. I think both teams will like thier chances on game day. Should be a fun 4th quarter game. Long way off though.

But then he could watch the Auburn game from last year.

We don't need a QB to beat the Bears. See last year.

How did LSU do against UM, Bama, & A/M last year with Anthony Jennings?

Take that thought and add that Brandon Harris is a little better than Jennings.

What do you think, now?

No flame, but who honestly thinks Ole Miss can beat LSU when they have no run game?

Not only that, the Ole Miss D looked tired way too early against Bama.

I don't expect other fanbases to have watched our film all that closely, but Harris has already made some huge throws to move the chains on third down. While LSU hasn't thrown a ton of passes, the throws being attempted this year are night and day from last season. Last year Jennings was only really allowed to lay it up deep off play action. Harris has been putting them on the money in traffic, and that's the missing piece.

Getting sick of seeing this.

Unfortunately, until Harris throws for 400+ yards and 3 TD we will have to endure this nonsense.

But the quarterback is still a major question

You make a fair point. LSU coaches have protected him and want to make sure he does just enough for the time being, but Harris is coming along well and does have a very good arm and is mobile.

He is a work in progress but I like how he plays. He won't put pinball numbers, that's just not LSU Football, but he'll be a good one.

It'll never end because we'll never need to be in that position of putting up 400 yards through the air to win. Not our dynamics.

There have been years in the past where LSU ran because they had to. This year, they run because they love to. They have a capable QB and excellent receivers. I expect that to start to show over the next few games.
